Les Indemodables Vanille Havane was designed to try and replicate the full spectrum of smells of real Vanilla pods/beans (and uses a huge dose of Vanilla Absolute). Definitely worth a smell for anyone who hasn’t tried it yet - it’s super complex, high quality, unique stuff. 🙌🏻 Another brilliant video - definitely some of the best fragrance related content on RUclips at the moment. Love the fact you talk about so many different brands, not just the hyped/popular stuff. 🏆 P.s. Also love the amount of exposure and credit you give to the perfumers behind the fragrances, not just the fragrances themselves.
@@daniell5740 The most prominent ingredient is a huge dose of Vanilla Extract, and in interviews with the brand, the owners have said that the whole inspiration for the fragrance was the actual smell of Vanilla Beans. It doesn’t smell like “Vanilla” in the traditional sense (like Vanilla Ice Cream), because that’s not what pure Vanilla bean smells like - but Vanilla is the whole theme and intention of the fragrance. So it’s a bit of a more unorthodox and interesting take on the note. 😁👍🏻
@daniell5740 It's a vanilla bean extract fragrance for sure. Tgat has a lot more nuances than vanilin. Dark, slightly resinous, a little woody and slightly smoky. The other notes in vanille havanne work around these nuances, but the vanilla is the center of it.
@SirSillageSniffington That’s crtently my favourite vanilla, and I wore it a fair bit over the colm months this year. Agree that it's very much a study in vanilla. I think there's an understandable tendency to associate vanilla with a strong and dominant vanillin, and it's rare to see an extract at the center of a composition (especially one so dark and beautifully crafted with other gorgeous naturals).

Vanilla is my favourite note and matiere premiere is one of my favourite notes. I tried vanilla powder on card and it was almost synthetic. I need to find the time to try this on skin and your review gave me a good push to hurry up and do this.

Love vanilla fragrances. Many of my SHL fragrances have vanilla to create an amber accord, but it stands out in Ruby Naga. Also Material by Cecile Zarokian for Amouage & Mandorle by Amélie Bourgeois, Anne-Sophie Behaghel and Camille Chemardin for Sora Dora are vanilla forward and stunning.

Just wanted to say that I’m a guy and when I decided to check out a local niche perfumery store, I tested a bunch of different ones and Vanille de Tahiti absolutely stood out as the best of the bunch. I thought it might be too feminine but I feel comfortable with it. I think it’s going to be my signature vanilla (love vanilla, never found that “it” one though). For reference, some of my favorites are Xerjoff Naxos, ATH Hard Candy/Elixir, Initio Rehab.

Hey Marcello! I’m looking for a new signature fragrance for myself. I’ve tried a lot of new scents, but I can’t find the new love. I’m still in love with Seminalis 😅… yes, I am. I teied some fragrances of Amouage. They are all nice, but not for me. I’d like to try now the Guidance and Guidance 46. Do you think, I would love that fragrance? I ask you, because you now my taste in fragrances.
Just received BDK Villa Nerolli, great 😊 fragrance. I was in haste and put it on before my moisturizer dried down 😮. It killed the opening. I re-sprayed after 90 minutes and I got the glorious opening. It can become one of my favorite fragrance. I live in the tropics, it’s 74 degrees at 7:00pm northern hemisphere. During the day it is 84, 85 this time of the year. I also got some Xerjoff I really like: Torino 21, etc. Thanks for the guidance 😁
Interested in a vanilla forward fragrance but am not gourmand lover. I have Guidance but I don't really pick up the vanilla. I get it a little in oud satin mood. I'm looking forward to testing Angelique Noir and Vanille Planefolia Extrait when the weather cools.
@andreawilson6887 actually Andrea I don’t believe it has been discontinued, only out of stock. I jumped onto the Jovoy website and I can see that they put a message which says “temporarily unavailable” I do know that a lot of the brands are having supply issues with their oils. This is something that’s occurring across the world…. But going to keep an eye on this, as it would break my heart, if it was no longer available😢 Great to hear from you💫

I draw so many parallels with the food industry. The difference between various vanilla varieties and how the climate and the terroir have affected their flavour and aroma. Love these videos Marcelo, not just the individual fragrances but more importantly the whole introduction and history. Using actual vanilla pods in cooking is a must btw. Recommend “The Art of Flavor” by Aftel and Patterson to that effect.
Great line up… I love Perris Monte Carlo vanille de Tahiti but I dislike the animalic aspect… any fragrance similar to that but without that animatic note?
Yes that 'sassy' floral animalic isn't for everyone (I relish it😂). From this line up I would recommend to you Guidance. As I mentioned, it's not a vanilla leading fragrance but it does have a vanilla touch; and then all those other facets to this fragrance make it absolutely magical. Good luck with that Savita💫

Hola Dennise, si tambien amo vanilla! In regards to Amouage, not sure which ones you're tested but they are known for their love of incense (frankincense and myrrh from Oman) and I know that this can be difficult (I know it was for me at the start). On the other hand Guidance is a very gentle incense; if anything it's more floral/vanilla than it is incense....I would recommend you test on skin and see how this goes for you Wonderful to hear from you Dennise, thank you for reaching out

Heard Vanilla Powder has a very off putting note that seems to be detected by most that have tried it & thus not sure how well this frag is going to do. Disappointing

Marcelo. Where do I begin. Ive been in Nice France almost a week now. In London, I went to the famous Bloom perfumery and this niche store wad mind blowing! There was 0 designer frags. You have to research to narrow down what you want or tell them your best frags so they can give you 5 to 10 bottles to sample. Russian Tea and Kintsugi were top ones I tried out of 15 or so. They are so complex and pleasant. At London airport, I tried Givenchy Tobacco Vanille. Amazing!!! MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold is amazing. Also Ateller Vanilla Rouge and Iris d'Elite are crazy good. The vanilla in these are tops. The vanilla plus rose is blended so smoothly and is creamy light. Iris d'Elite has best Iris note along with vanilla. Im thinking of going to Cannes or Monaco.

Yes, I do love cherry in my fragrances… I have a few of these, that I really enjoy. Interestingly, cherry is actually a constructed note. You don’t derive the scent of cherry from nature😎 I will put something together on this in the future. Thanks for reaching out.💫
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I also am a big fan of cherry notes in fragrances. Duchessa by Gritti or Tom Fords Cherry Smoke are the ones that light me up. Price is super high though. But it makes sense that Note is constructed, because here in Germany natural cherrys smell a little different, then the note I find in fragrances. Also I think a part 3 of Xerjoff fragrances would be much apreciated by your community, big fan of these type of videos. Sorry if my english is not the best😅
Marcelo please checkout this fragrance company called oil&oud. They’re a very affordable oil based fragrance company from England. My favorite scent from them is called mafioso money but they have other interesting colognes I encourage you to check out. Plz make a review on them

I hate to tell you this, but I think Villa Neroli will also be in that category😖 the vanilla and then those Amber style notes in the base, give it a wonderful warmth along with the orange blossom scent but I think in excessive heat. Love vanilla fragrances. Many of my SHL fragrances have vanilla to create an amber accord, but it stands out in Ruby Naga. Also Material by Cecile Zarokian for Amouage & Mandorle by Amélie Bourgeois, Anne-Sophie Behaghel and Camille Chemardin for Sora Dora are vanilla forward and stunning.

Just wanted to say that I’m a guy and when I decided to check out a local niche perfumery store, I tested a bunch of different ones and Vanille de Tahiti absolutely stood out as the best of the bunch. I thought it might be too feminine but I feel comfortable with it. I think it’s going to be my signature vanilla (love vanilla, never found that “it” one though). For reference, some of my favorites are Xerjoff Naxos, ATH Hard Candy/Elixir, Initio Rehab.

I teied some fragrances of Amouage. They are all nice, but not for me. I’d like to try now the Guidance and Guidance 46. Do you think, I would love that fragrance? I ask you, because you now my taste in fragrances.
Great video, try Lubin Korrigan, I don’t believe it contains vanilla but it has a dry vanilla aura to it.

Just received BDK Villa Nerolli, great 😊 fragrance. I was in haste and put it on before my moisturizer dried down 😮. It killed the opening. I re-sprayed after 90 minutes and I got the glorious opening. It can become one of my favorite fragrance. I live in the tropics, it’s 74 degrees at 7:00pm northern hemisphere. During the day it is 84, 85 this time of the year.
I also got some Xerjoff I really like: Torino 21, etc.

Interested in a vanilla forward fragrance but am not gourmand lover. I have Guidance but I don't really pick up the vanilla. I get it a little in oud satin mood. I'm looking forward to testing Angelique Noir and Vanille Planefolia Extrait when the weather cools.

I draw so many parallels with the food industry. The difference between various vanilla varieties and how the climate and the terroir have affected their flavour and aroma.
Love these videos Marcelo, not just the individual fragrances but more importantly the whole introduction and history. Using actual vanilla pods in cooking is a must btw.
Recommend “The Art of Flavor” by Aftel and Patterson to that effect.
Great line up… I love Perris Monte Carlo vanille de Tahiti but I dislike the animalic aspect… any fragrance similar to that but without that animatic note?
Yes that 'sassy' floral animalic isn't for everyone (I relish it😂). From this line up I would recommend to you Guidance. As I mentioned, it's not a vanilla leading fragrance but it does have a vanilla touch; and then all those other facets to this fragrance make it absolutely magical.

Hola Dennise, si tambien amo vanilla! In regards to Amouage, not sure which ones you're tested but they are known for their love of incense (frankincense and myrrh from Oman) and I know that this can be difficult (I know it was for me at the start).
On the other hand Guidance is a very gentle incense; if anything it's more floral/vanilla than it is incense....I would recommend you test on skin and see how this goes for you

Marcelo. Where do I begin. Ive been in Nice France almost a week now. In London, I went to the famous Bloom perfumery and this niche store wad mind blowing! There was 0 designer frags. You have to research to narrow down what you want or tell them your best frags so they can give you 5 to 10 bottles to sample. Russian Tea and Kintsugi were top ones I tried out of 15 or so. They are so complex and pleasant. At London airport, I tried Givenchy Tobacco Vanille. Amazing!!! MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold is amazing. Also Ateller Vanilla Rouge and Iris d'Elite are crazy good. The vanilla in these are tops. The vanilla plus rose is blended so smoothly and is creamy light. Iris d'Elite has best Iris note along with vanilla. Im thinking of going to Cannes or Monaco.

I’m a little like you re Oud, my first enjoyable one was indeed the Oud Satin mood, and I was told it was Tahitian Oud; very pleasant and just kept changing into a sexier scent as the oud blended longer with my skin. I know you only wear niche. But I am loving Spicebomb Extreme right now. It is a beautiful black vanilla with spices and tobacco. Also come cumin for character.

Yes, I do love cherry in my fragrances… I have a few of these, that I really enjoy. Interestingly, cherry is actually a constructed note. You don’t derive the scent of cherry from nature😎

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I also am a big fan of cherry notes in fragrances. Duchessa by Gritti or Tom Fords Cherry Smoke are the ones that light me up. Price is super high though.
But it makes sense that Note is constructed, because here in Germany natural cherrys smell a little different, then the note I find in fragrances. Also I think a part 3 of Xerjoff fragrances would be much apreciated by your community, big fan of these type of videos.

I’m always up early when your videos drop so I love being first haha I do love the vanilla note but in Florida it’s so hot and vanilla is hard to wear. Thank you for including Villa Néroli as it sounds light enough for hot weather. I will need to sample that one
@RyanInOrlando20 thanks for reaching out Ryan and yes, I believe that the vanilla note in a very hot weather environment would be a bit cloying. I hate to tell you this, but I think Villa Neroli will also be in that category😖 the vanilla and then those Amber style notes in the base, give it a wonderful warmth along with the orange blossom scent but I think in excessive heat. This might be too much.
But if you get a chance to test, I would be curious to hear your thoughts on it mate
