Oath of Gideon's big upside is the extra counter it offers to each planeswalker as they ETB. This is definitely decent but won't benefit any planeswalkers that are already out. Cards like Ichormoon Gauntlet benefits all our planeswalkers accelerating them to their ultimate abilities much faster than Oath of Gideon can.
Djeru is definitely a good fit for the deck since he tutors up a planeswalker and prevents some of the damage inflicted upon them. I hadn't come across Board the Weatherlight while looking for cards for this deck since I was focused on Planeswalker specific effects. That being said I think I'd rather pay the extra 1 mana to get any Planeswalker I wanted.
@@MechanizedMinionMTG Board goes for a Historic card in general, meaning that you can use it to help with mana fixing, or to go find the Disk in a pinch. It's a good-enough card, but as you said, there are more focused cards out there that can be used.

No Djeru, With Eyes Open? Or Board the Weatherlight for a slightly cheaper Call the Gatewatch?
