- Jun Seba, aka Nujabes, Japanese hip hop producer extraordinaire, passed away late February.

While we continue to respect the privacy of his family, we will work to preserve his legacy, and pay tribute to the body of work, some unreleased, that he has left for us to enjoy. Jun Seba will be dearly missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and fans worldwide.

I just started watching samurai champloo and i fell in love with the soundtrack. I looked for the producer and just discovered him. I was sooo looking forward for some of his new works but then i went to wiki to read up on him. I was so shocked that he has passed away. I was asking myself where have i been that i just heard of this great producer. Anyways Nujabes is probably 1 of my favorite producers right now because his sound appeals to me and i am also trying to produce beats the way he makes em. That jazzy hip hop sound is just so soothing. RIP Nujabes and thank you for your music.

i love you and nujabes genuinely from the bottom of my fucking heart my uncle showed me luv sic as a kid and though he is gone now aswell as nujabes i will always love you,nujabes and my uncle because y'all made 6 year old me happy in a time when i was dealing with lots of adversity but i was too young to even understand how seemingly hopeless i was to everyone because of my mental circumstances but yall took my thoughts to the beats and rhymes instead of to the fact that i was in special ed and all my folk saw me as someone who would never live on my own and wouldn't ever be completely independent of my mama.i dont care if this ever gets seen but i just wanted to say i love you for all the shit you helped me through without even knowing it. thank you so much

Nujabes changed my life.
The transition is so damn epic. I always find myself looking for nujabes in the audience. I know he was somewhere in there during this concert.
insertaghere This comment made me almost cry. One thing is for sure: Nujabes will always be in our hearts, and he'll be immortal through his wonderful music. I feel like that car accident the 26th February of 2010 in Tokio, were Nujabes died, never happened. I feel the need to listen every day at least a song made by Nujabes, and remember that we can pass away at any given time so we have to enjoy life until we fade away. This music is a piece of heaven that changed our lives. Respect for a guy that created sound waves that had the same frequency of our souls. *R. I. P*

I come back to this video every now and then, and every time I watch it, I get goosebumps and wonder how music can be so divine. Then I get sad because I realize Nujabes left us way too early. Rest in beats Nujabes your music will live on for a very long time.

The best description of this that I've come across
Even months after his death, I still find it hard to get over. I still listen to Nujabe's music all the time and each time reminds me of Nujabes. It's such a shame that we lost such a unique talent and that he will never produce anything for us again.
But we can still remember him by what he has made for us......
Even on the other side of the planet, Nujabes' music makes people get their hands in the air and mark the beat together. One love people, one love.

For a long time I've been searching for some true good music that is always timeless. It's almost like Seba's music almost instantly connected with me on a spiritual level. I only discovered him a little while ago, while going over Samurai Champloo soundtracks, and I looked him up to see if he was going to make any new tracks anytime soon. I saw that he died more than 5 years earlier and I nearly cried. Rest in Beats, Nujabes.
The lyrical geniuses he worked with made his works godlike. If any of his featured singers die any time soon, the world will lose happiness.

RIP Nujabes, I barely discovered your music in 2020 but it's changed my life. I'm currently in the darkest part in my life but the music has kept me going. My dream is to be a music producer one day but my personal situations are so tough that I worry that I might not get to do what I love. If one day I get to accomplish my goal I will make sure to honor Nujabes in my work because without him I wouldn't have been able to make it that far. I started hearing nujabes a few years ago, and then I noticed Shing in some songs, searched him up and I've been hearing him for months, and I never get tired of listening to him.
