    Thank you Penny for sharing your experience and family history of this project. I love that you have kept the build and objects as authentic to the period as possible.
    Your instructions are easy to follow and I appreciate the step by step tutorials on the actual house build, especially how to use magnets on removable walls👏

      Thank you Coby! I wish I could take credit for the magnet idea! I learned that trick from Ara at Bentley House. She is amazing!

      I agree with Coby-thank you for sharing your family history. It’s so neat that your grandmother’s dress is in a museum!

    Fantastic tip taping the skewers to the cutting mat for gluing the pieces together and keeping it straight. Thanks!

    Lovely.💖 I am diffidently gonna have to practice on doll furniture once I get my budgeting sorted, once I get 7 BJD rabbits in small from moonlight jewel, measure how long the beds,
    couches, & dining chair have to be. My dollhouse for Peter Rabbit is going to look stunning, see you next time.

    I have been a miniature lover as long as I can remember. I really would like to start one for myself to give my granddaughter when she is a little older. I love how easy you make it look 😊 TFS your craftsmanship it is beautiful. It inspired me to give it a try.

      Thank you Patti! The very first doll house I made was for my granddaughter. I started with a 3 shelf, IKEA book case, added some styrofoam dividers, and made the furniture myself. There are a ton of great RUclipsrs out there that are easy to follow. I honed my craft on people like Julie Warren from ‘Little bits and pieces’, Kat from ‘A square to spare’, and Ara from Bentley house mini’s. I highly recommend them as well if you are just starting out. You can always reach out to me if you have questions, either here in comments or by email (contact info is on my ‘About’ tab). Best of luck with your project and thank you so much for watching!💚

    Really enjoy your videos. Your use of the fabric support around the posts is brilliant. For the bedspread, did you use anything on the edges of the sweater piece to prevent fraying or unraveling? Your edges look crisp so I assumed you did?

    • @littlebylittledollhouseminis
      @littlebylittledollhouseminis  Год назад +1

      Thank you Lori! The fabric around the posts was an afterthought. Once I had the bed together I realized it needed a little bit more support than just the glue. I didn’t actually do anything to the sweater. Two sides were glued under the mattress, one I cut just above a side seam which was covered when I folded sown the sheet, and the last side that hangs on the side, was cut on the hem. You could use a fabric glue though, if you hem/seam are not available on you cut.

    I’m done and it looks…okay. If I had to do it over again I would use thicker dowels. The toothpicks and dowels were so small and impossible to keep glued. I may in the end, trash them (I’m a bit of a perfectionist) and redo the frame. The bed itself was great! I’ll keep that but maybe change the rest. We’ll see. Right now the whole family has Covid and that’s all I can deal with. Also men are babies.

      @@littlebylittledollhouseminis God, me too. Right now were all down each others throats. Too much togetherness. Plus my husband, who’s at the 5 day mark STILL thinks he’s sicker than me. Now I remember why I don’t like car vacations.

    I gotta know, how m any headboards did you make before you felt you could it live? LOL. I’m not bad at making furniture but my railings ended up looking like a hillbilly cousin.

    • @littlebylittledollhouseminis
      @littlebylittledollhouseminis  Год назад +1

      Hi Janean! Listen, that is not an easy headboard to make! If you know how many cuss words I uttered, how many times my hands went up in frustration, and how many times I had to walk away, before I got them in straight, you would laugh! It is only through the power of video editing that it looks easy to do. Give yourself some grace and don’t give up!

      I have a resin gal who makes the most stunning items. I try it and a mess. You really explained the bed well so I didn’t think I’d have any problems BUT those rails….I had to walk away lol. Gonna be lovely, abet, crooked when I’m done and if not? That’s what throw blankets are for :)
