Darius McCrary opened up about seeing his godfather, Rick James, the night before the famed entertainer passed away. Eerily, James told McCrary that he would be telling people the story of their conversation before he left that night. Darius also stated that the Chappelle Show skits about Rick James were true, which you can hear more about above.
Dudes sincerity just propelled him into top interview status.

Damn that title is eerie. Whenever your around someone before or while they pass sticks with you. The night my uncle passed was like every other night. I came home from working all day on a Friday. He was up watching one of his favorite movies. I walked by said hey I’ll see you in the morning. He had a heart attack after I fell asleep a few hours later. I was so tired from being up since 4am that I slept through all the screaming & paramedics in the house

My uncle died on a Friday after work too damn bro I felt that
I feel you bro. One of my closest friends came back to my city and tried to catch me all week. I was working and put it off but ran into him on a food run for me and my then girlfriend. We wound up back at his house laughing and drinking until 4am. We were supposed to have a cookout the next day. Before i left he gave me the secret to his barbecue sauce( something he kept from me for years) i went home and slept on the couch. In the morning as me and my girl argued about me coming home so late the phone rang. It was someone asking me hear that my friend died. I didn't believe them. I called his mom and she said it was true. I was the last person to see him alive. Still hurts till this day.

He was lucky to see Rick James on his last day of living. If someone is about to tell me something for the first time EVER and it's serious or interesting I would stick around for a few minutes more because while people are still living on Earth I would soak up all the knowledge I can. When I meet someone for the first time especially if they have a down 2 Earth personality I would spend some time with them. I always act like I'll NEVER see you again later in life because people are busy. This time around I'll be more attentive to humble people with wisdom. Thank God I made it through 2019. Thank God also that I made it through the 1st day of the new year! Happy 2020 everyone!
