Switch to novels, you'll be glad you did. Between the mediocre art, censorship, meddling with plot and cutting out character development, I haven't seen a good cultivation manhua yet
yea comic, manga, manhua, and manhwa sometimes feel redundant if there is a novel version.
@@electricant55 not to mention it's so abridged they literally cut out large sections of the story so you can be confused as fuck when story point never mentioned comes up.

It's not actually a bed of fire. it's a bed with fire-element based resources used. Like Igneo-copper. aka. a very hot metal. That bed for a cultivator that can handle the heat is ideal for someone cultivating fire or earth, cuz fire cools to become earth.
You're gonna need a Bachelor's Degree to be okay at this game.

Man, most of the Wuxia genre or Manhwa (Chinese manga/Webtoon) are so repetitive and copy paste with imperialist depictions and mentions of Xiao, yang, family killing/threats, strong over weak, "system", "Emperor", etc that I'm actually tired of it. Manhwa (Korean manga/Webtoon) are generally much better n they can actually write Hentai but censored. Only exceptions being like Martial Peak or stuff like that which aren't repetitive, otherwise u immediately know if it's Chinese or nah. They literally eat dogs n comment on good taste in Spirit mountain blade.
I can count the good chinese manga i read on one hand.
Tower of god is a solid Korean manga.
the solid manhwa i browse through are(is) Ravages of Time. Which, surprise surprise isn't a wuxia manhwa which make 98% of manhwa overall.
Maybe the wuxia genre isn’t that good, but a firm no on webtoon/manwha being good. Most of them are straight garbage as well, with them basically falling into similar awful storytelling habits and copy paste bullshit. You can pretty much predict everything that will happen extremely easily, and I ended up dropping webtoons completely after picking up a webtoon that didn’t seem all too bad…only for them to default to the same shit.
That said, there are some western webtoons that aren’t too bad…but they are some bad ones that REALLY lean into manwha stuff.
*should clarify, that last webtoon was the straw that broke the camel’s back where it started more original and devolved
These chinese novels really are addicting, they make it seem like 1000 chapters ain't much
It's a terrible hole to fall into. After a while they start all blending together and you wake up from a trance, somewhere in 1000+ chapter Dragonball xianxia where Raditz is cultivating to become a god of destruction.

After giving a few wuxia novels a try, I decided to never read those again. Every single one of them, all antagonists are stuck up nobles, everything revolves around protagonist, the whole story is just a bunch of contests to see whose dong is bigger, everyone is "courting death".
My man. You need to read some gems.

You said you’ve read too many of them. Have you read the “Divine dungeon” series by Dakota Krout. It’s no necessarily wuxia but it’s inspired by it.
