What things about Jabba's Palace (now Boba and Fennec's) surprised you most? Also what did you think of the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett?
I think that it seemed so small and easy for people to come in.
The Book of Fett will probably be geared towards avid Star Wars fan and flesh out the underworld but not have huge implications. I think its going to be a slow burn but can I say that the Gamorrean were the most useless ever. Like why didn't they protect the money, why didn't they come to the aid of Boba earlier? Like, why did you just leave them out for Boba to be beaten.

@@brentfu1119 They didn't do anything for 3 minutes and could've easily secured the cash. Why purposely show us that he's being robbed and getting beaten. What are they doing? Just watching ?

A pretty fun fact about the palace's kitchen (Jabba's favorite place for sure) was the irony developed between the Hutt and the slaved chef Porcellus, who was forced to prepare delicious food for Jabba. The only reason Porcellus gave all his efforts to outdo himself in his culinary skills was due to the hope of creating a plate of food so delicious that Jabba would release him in gratitude, when those actions only made the Hutt more interested in preserving the chef

Yes. Leia was really had no chance of escaping Jabba. Even if she did. She will be wandering in Tatooine just wearing her Metal Bikini and become a prey for other slavers or even Jawas who will take her bikini off.
I guess BF2’s palace is canon now? The hallway entrance is now just a staircase up from the throne room.

The fact that Jabba would have the monks remove the brains of any opposers and place them into the catacomb jars for eternal and mental torture is absolutely heinous.
Jabba definitely doesn’t care, he had the brain taken out of his Cousins body due to power supremacy.
Love the palace! Hoping to see more of the inside, love that the Gamorreans became loyal to Boba so they should be guarding the palace most of the time. Hope to see Black Krrsantan make an appearance, hoping that Boba imprisons him in one of the palaces cells after an altercation with Boba! Could be a good ally for Boba and ironic comeback for him to befriend a Wookie rather than taking a piece of him as a trophy.

@@ohor5994 I think he will, they’ve been foreshadowing with the Head of the Trandoshan Crime Family showing up at the Palace and there’s Trandoshans hanging out around Tatooine. I’m hoping Bossk helps when BK is fighting Boba it’d work cause Trandoshans hate Wookiees. Also hoping Boba spares BKs life and recruits him to his Crime Syndicate!

*Fun fact:* In Legends, both Bib Fortuna and Nat Secura (Aayla Secura's cousin) were captured by the B'Omarr Monks after Jabba's death and their brain was placed inside those spider droids, becoming part of their Order until they finally found a new body

Kinda glad Bib actually did sometime besides becoming just a brain in a jar connected to robotic spider legs, and he got a well-deserved execution by Boba himself.

It seems no one is ever damn grateful for all the quality Star Wars content Filoni and Favreau are pushing out - I mean, we’ve waited almost 50 years for this boba series!
@@Grahmps well for me, because boba had very little to no character substance in the originals, besides he’s badass and good at shit, I do not feel like it’s the same character so I’m just trying to get adjusted. Also I definitely want to see more criminal underbelly with crime organizations and families. Less boba digging in dirt.

I have a slightly different (I think, it looks pretty much the same) version of that cut-away diagram/map of Jabba’s Palace in a book of the original trilogy’s locations, which also includes the Lars homestead and Ben Kenobi’s home, the Death Star, and several others. I’m planning on keeping it on-hand while watching The Book Of Boba Fett to see how closely it matches. Have a great new year!
Not a place I'd like to visit but if I was there I would be forever hiding a amongst the audience in Jabba's main throne room, hoping and praying that jabba doesn't feel like throwing me down into the Rancor pit! You'd also have to be forever watchful of when you walk down the dark corridors! I heard there's a snot vampire called Dannik Jericho that was always out to kill. Great in depth video
You know this may be weird... But this was actually one of the 1st RUclips videos I saw in 2022 and for some odd reason it stuck with me... I know get nostalgia in the beginning part. I wasn't coming off a difficult Jack Daniels whiskey 1st degree burn type of new years eve. I was struggling with my major Depression like usual but even more sad this time around. I found this video to be very comforting. I don't like many videos. 16 total actually. This is one of them

Just like any monks on Earth. I suggest checking out photos of the Potala Palace in Lhasa, China. It makes Jabba's home look modest.

Jabba's throneroom can't be that deep under the earth. In RotJ you can clearly see the day/night cycle affecting the room illumination; when Leia frees Han you can see the shadows of the window grates on the wall. Also how the heck did they manage to bring a Rancor down there, judging the palace-map there was no other entrance/hallway big enough to fit him except the other animal-cage.
The Jabba's Palace map in the EA Battlefront video game also confirms that the throne room can't be that far down, it looks exactly like the movie. The throne room is literally right down the end of the main entrance hall and down a curved staircase. I don't think this cross section picture is accurate at all. Would be awesome if someone tried to map out the whole palace/garage in Unreal Engine or something just to explore.
Maybe they had the rancor placed there when it was still small, so that it could fit through the corridors underneath. Just see how small the rancor in bad batch is. I don't believe it's the same one though, just comparing sizes
Probably the only way a Rancor is getting down there is by acquiring a little one and allowing it to grow down in the pit

Does anyone else remember the Technical Journals from the early 90s? The first one was about Tatooine and this was pretty much exactly what it said about Jabba's Palace. Awesome.

@@robertamorrison2566 That's awesome. At one point I know I had all 3. Those were the dark times. After the original trilogy and before the prequels but it was the comics and novels that maintained my interest the most.
After hearing this I can't wait to explore the Palace in Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga! And you can't go inside it, but it's still cool though!

Weakened, dehydrated, concussion from hitting the sail barge, acid burns all over his body and exhausted from killing the Sarlac. Then digging his way to freedom passed out on the sand. Of course a Jawa would be able to bash his Ion rifle stock into his face at that point. You try going through all that and try to stop Jawas from stealing from you.

Oddly enough, in the EU Boba Fett Novels (covering his life during the Clone Wars starting just before the Battle of Geonosis), Boba Fett found employment with Jabba and befriended his enslaved Chef, Porcellus, along with that chef's daughter, a girl about his age. I'd love to see that character be brought back; maybe they both could be and he could hire them as his kitchen staff.
I'm surprised it isn't built in detail in Space Engineers. I think they have all the right blocks for most of this.

Leia had all the luxuries spending time with Jabba. She didnt need to used the Plebes staircase but the elevator. Then she had a luxury to spent with Jabba's private room comfy in her bikini.
I cant picture it looking any different than in battlefront other than places through the doors sealed in game

It's strange how empty the Palace feels. Just a handful of Droids and two guardsmen.
The palace was likely looted and everyone scrambled once word Jabba’s death started to spread.
I don't think that Jabba's room is that far underground. I mean, they are all hot in one part having an afternoon nap, so it can't be that far down.
Dropping the hutt's personal Chambers were underneath the palace itself and how did someone like Vader get down there well he is a Sith Lord after all and I'm pretty sure that getting down there was no issue besides having to kill a few guards

I question the validity of the whole 'leia strangled jabba' business. it seems extremely unlikely to me, from the simple fact that she'd need to exert quite the bit of pressure just to REACH his windpipe, far less affect it.

Probably enter the movie with the Monks traveling the dune sea and finding that rocky hill to build the palace around, meanwhile there would be that first Crime Lord before Jabba that took the Palace fleeing from the republic or something and stumbling across the palace being built, throw in some Tusken scenes and a more depth filled storyline as I’m just spitballing here and there you have it. The Tatooine Palace Movie straight to Disney+ 😂
