Thank you for this presentation. I have been studying the second coming lately, and have realized the timeline may be a little different, based on the events in D&C 88:95-99, and D&C 45:45-51. When the half hour of silence ends, there is a quickened and caught up event for the Saints who are alive, and a resurrection as mentioned in section 88:96-98. This is the first resurrection. Now when does this happen? At the end of the half hour of silence. When is that? Well, if you read D&C 45:45 it also describes a resurrection as the same event as in section 88 because footnote c references to 88:96. Then in section 45:48 it says Christ sets his foot on the mount after this resurrection. This means the silence in heaven must end before He sets his foot on the mount. And we know that this appearance is not the second coming because section 88:99 says after all the previous events, a second trump will sound and those who were in spirit prison and received the Gospel will be redeemed at Christ's coming. Footnote a in verse 99 references to the topical guide Jesus Christ, Second Coming. There is a space of time in between the event of 88:96-98, and the events of verse 99 separated by two trumps. My feelings are, based on these scriptures, that the half hour of silence could end when the two witnesses in Jerusalem are resurrected and caught up to meet Christ as he descends to the Mount of Olives, and the Saints who are quickened and those who are resurrected in section 88 are caught up at this time to descend with Christ to the mount. And if those who accept the Gospel are freed from prison to be redeemed at Christ's second coming in glory, then all the work for the dead has to be completed before Christ comes in glory. I have always understood that all the work for the dead would be completed during the millennium when we will have access to the records and knowledge necessary to complete that work.

One great example are the words , "Christ" and "antichrist"...christ is at one side of the sword of the Lord while the antichrist occupies the other side of the two-edged sword of the Lord which is the Word of God... As you can see now , the Christ and the antichrist are bosom buddies for they dwell together in the word of the Lord-this is the so-called "mystery of Christ" foretold in the Book of Revelation , that Christ has a companion , his opposite... The antichrist which the whole world is calling as their enemy is , in reality , the other self of Christ or his alter ego...if Christ had been a friend of sinners once , he will be returning as the enemy of sinners , and this second time he shall destroy sinners and their evil works...this is why Christ has an "anti" prefixed to his name , he shall go against the world of sins and sinners , and shall annihilate all their evil works... If a man hates this antichrist , he is actually hating Christ for this antichrist is the second coming of Christ...this is now the revelation of that "mystery of Christ"...
The son of man and Daniel chapter 7 is not Jesus, same with Luke 17 Jesus is explaining that this is another person. Doctor and covenants section 103 and doctrine covenants section 85 explain that this is someone who the Lord has chosen. The ancient of days opens up a scroll and judgment is set… there’s only one that is worthy to open the scroll and the book of revelation shows that this is Jesus, the book of Enoch tells us flat out that the ancient of days or head of days is the same God who came down to redeem mankind. Another point to make is that this son of man has no glory or power or dominion until he is caught up to God and so to say that this individual is Jesus is to take away his divinity. The revelation chapter 12 manchild is the same figure.
The descending upon the Mount of Olives is after the 1000 yrs (millenium) of Revelation where the saints have been with Christ in Heaven during the reviewing of the judgment books....Also at which time the wicked dead are asleep in the grave while Satan and his angels are bound to earth with no one to tempt. After the 1000 yrs have ended, Jesus with His saints will descend with the New Jerusalem upon the Mount of Olives. Then the wicked dead will be resurrected for judgment. It is at this time that every knee will bow and give homage to Christ...albeit not willingly from repentance. Then God rains fire down from Heaven to devour the earth with all traces of sin, sinners, and Satan and evil angels. They will turn to ashes. (Malachi 4:1-3) Then Jesus recreates the earth anew for the dominion of the saints forever. Those who rejected Christ's offer of salvation will cease to exist once the fire burns out. There is no eternally burning hell....But the wicked are as though they had never been. (Obadiah 1:16) "The wicked shall not inhabit the earth." Proverbs 10:30
So sad. What a web the spiders have woven. To catch their prey and spin in threads of deceit. While the real Jesus and the church He built lives on throughout the ages until He returns, never destroyed or disappeared from the earth though persecuted and travailed to this day. Along comes a spider to weave the web of deceit and to be so bold as to proclaim his restored church is the true church and his book even rivaling the Bible in truth and accuracy. So sad indeed for all the souls trapped in its web.
You must be referring to the Catholic church as Christ's church. They are the only ones who can reach far enough back into Christian history to even have a chance at being his church, everyone else is just a Johnny come lately.
