Hello from Norfolk. UK. Am on a fine art print course- Curwen Print Study Centre. Recently introduced to monoprint and this video is very inspiring. Got my leaf collection+black acid free paper and gorgeous colours ready to go. Thank you 😁
Hello from greater Charlotte, NC! I formerly lived in Polk Co. and played with leaf prints during the pandemic. I felt like a hoarder for keeping the beautiful "skin" paper. I found this video while killing time as I boil leaves to reveal their skeletons for further printmaking. I am now realizing I can use those old papers!!!! Ty! Where did you teach in Asheville?
So glad that you found this video useful to your practice with leaves. I'm teaching for the first time in Asheville this fall, in the River Arts Districe.
Looks like a hosta leaf; deer love them. Thanks for great videos. I just subscribed and my gelli plate is arriving in a few days from Amazon. I can't wait to get started! I usually just paint watercolors but I have some lovely acrylic paints as well.
What a lovey instructor you are. I really appreciate how you take the time at the beginning of your video to cover all the supplies you are using in detail. I also like your easy and encouraging attitude. Thank you for another video full of inspiration!😊
Beautiful thank you for sharing
You're so welcome! 😊

These are beautiful and they have a very different effect from gelli print botanicals
Good to know that these are unique from those made on a gel plate. Thanks for the feedback.

When you paint both sides of the leaves, turn the set over and rub the other side as well.
Yup, that's what I did!
After painty leaves dry (but not shriveled) I press them in books and use in collage.
