Offside is a rule in football where you can't have one of your players closer to the goalside than any of the defending players when the ball is passed, so it's a reference to that, basically saying his nose is so big that it's closer to goalside than the opposing players even if he's only at the halfway line or whatever

    The Set-Up:
Bobby Zamora used to play for Brighton as a striker
The most embarrassing thing that a striker can do is send the ball high over the goal into the back row of the stands
The seats furthest from the pitch are known collectively as 'Row Z'
    Z is pronounced 'zed'
The Chant, to the tune of 'That's Amore':
"When you sit in Row Z
And the ball hits hits your head
    That's....Zamora"

I think a key difference there you mentioned is that with NFL, the team is a franchise, so it's happened where the team is moved to the other side of the country or a new one can spring up from nowhere, where as your College teams, like our Football clubs, don't move. You're often born into supporting your local team/club and even if you yourself move to another town/city, you are still all about that team you grew up with.

So interesting to hear about your own experience with sports Beard. Football here is both territorial and not at the same time. The big clubs get lots of supporters from all over the world, but the vast majority of clubs draw their support from the local area and have done for 100yrs or more in many cases. Lots of people support a smaller club in their area and also the big team that they are local to.
I work with disabled adults so i get a lot of opportunity to attend cricket, rugby and football in my local area even though they arn't particularly sports I'm interested in. They get free tickets and often really good support from the sporting organisation themselves. One of them (im not going to say which sport so as not to cast aspersions) gives my clients prime box seats with a private room pregame and at half time with food and drink and the kind of service you would expect as a VIP.
Favourite chant is "marching on together" might give you a clue as to who my local team is :D
Keep up the great work mate.

Fans get banned if they are violent in, on or around the football stadium. Some people really don’t care about the games, but only come to fight physically with fans of the opposing team.
They can get banned for up to four years. There are cameras all over the stadiums and watchers keeping track of people entering. If a fan, who has been banned, shows up they are arrested on the spot by police. Hooliganism is viewed very seriously in Great Britain.
Denmark has been studying how Great Britain handles hooligans as we have some problems in that field as well.

Great videos. Support our local team, Bromley fc and like you say, it's in the blood, as my late father supported them, from the early 70s onwards. Best thing about our local team is that you get much closer to the action. If you're chanting, "You're sh**, aaaah!" the goalkeeper actually pays attention, cos he knows he's sh**. One game years ago, we heard that the opposition goalkeeper discovered his wife had been sleeping around with his team mates. Boy, did we give him a hard time for that one! 🤣😂

I told him he may as well have just stayed on the train back here because it’s miles away from Liverpool like. But I can’t wait for this game and the return leg 8 days later up here.
