- One episode in and I already knew this drama was going to wreck me. This drama should be appropriately renamed to "SIMP SIFENG" because that's the ongoing theme in their multiple lifetimes. I've never watched a drama that abused the male lead more than this one. My poor Sifeng.
This drama does indeed have a lot of elements of past popular dramas like Ashes of Love, Ten Miles of Peach Blossom and The Untamed but it's still it's own story. I feel like every year there's at least one standout Chinese drama that is like THE drama of that year. 2020 is still not over yet but I think this is my choice of 2020 favorite Chinese drama.

The main reason why this drama captivated me so much is the main actor CHENG YI who made SiFeng come alive and made me feel his pain,

I love both leads..The drama is essentially about the Female character. Her suffering can only be imagined ;the horror of how she came to be,betrayal of friendship & killing her innocent people & being used as a weapon by the heavenly realm is only imaginable. If any human being were to pass through all those in real life via different case scenarios, they sure would be in the Psychiatric Hospital insane or living a vengeful life till their very deaths! Sifeng took her pains & anger through each 10 lifetimes...My heart goes out to people who have & are passing through troubled waters such as this...May you find your Sifeng/ May your Sifeng come to you.💌. Crystal Yuang did well portraying such varying degrees of the Female lead's emotion & characters all wrapped up in 1!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Yu Xifeng is now my favorite male lead of all dramas and books. He's a demon but his heart is the most pure. He's so kind, understanding, and loving. He helps everyone, sacrifices for his loved ones, and can befriend literally anyone with prejudice. His dying love for Xuanji was just wow. Words can't describe it. I love how he's so levelheaded, reasonable, and smart in all situations. Sometimes I even wished for him to be a bit selfish, a bit evil. He's everything you would ever hope for, even way better than your dreams of a significant other. This man, Yu Sifeng, he's got it all. He has set the standards for male leads so high that it reaches the Heavenly Palace and pierces through that annoying King Bailing.
I'm just laughing at this comment and I could not agree more on the high-level standards for male leads he has put out there after watching this video. I mean, wow! Just wow. He is amazing! For example, the amount of times he's been stabbed and tortured is incomparable to 'General and I'. I thought the male lead was taking a lot of stabbing, I guess not after watching this video of sifeng being stabbed and tortured so many times. Like yikes!!

I've never seen a ML that gets stab and vomit blood so many times in a drama...Sifeng is setting the bar too high for a character that genuinely loves wholeheartedly and sacrifices 100%. Love love u Cheng Yi 💜

I thought i would never encountered any chinese drama that can equal Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, Ashes of Love, and the Untamed.
but here..... Love and Redemption is a combination of those three with perfect overflowing chemistry, outstanding acting, perfect story, alot of surprises and twists, amazing fighting/martial arts/war scene. Woah. I’m so happy when i found this drama, and having the hardest withdrawal from this drama till now😭 Their acting really wowed me, super amazing!!💯💯😭

Let's be honest here guys, this is the only male lead that have suffer so much than the others male leads that we all know. Si Feng suffered in his 9 lifetimes and almost dies in his 10 lifetime.

I loved it the first half but then lose interest, I only kept going because I forced myself to watched it. in my opinion love and redemption has better chemistry, plot, plot twist, I was more attached, and the ml in this drama def suffered 6x more but then again this is only my opinion

@@fatimasandali6349 Please watch it. You will thank me after that. And don't blame me if you fall for the main actor CHENG YI. Because I started watching the show not knowing who he is. Neither was I prepared to fall for any actor, having watched tons of Chinese period shows during the lock down period. But CHENG YI's acting in this drama really made me appreciate his acting skill that made this show so engaging for me. Cried buckets but somehow still enjoying watching him suffering. Haha !

Its hard to imagine the pain that Sifeng went through for Xuanji. He protected her and did everything to make sure she lives safely and happily. But in every life, she betrayed him over and over again. Even in heaven, he protected her as a God. As a demon. And even as a mortal. Sifeng is really loyal. I haven't finished it yet, I have about 7 more episodes. I just feel a lot of connections between me and Si Feng. Even tho its just a drama, it relates to me a lot. :>
Sifeng's love to xuanji in each life just scattered my heart😭I wish that every love in the world is as sincere and as pure as Sifeng's love to xuanji.

@@ira4793 it is happy ending. In the very best way. You'll feel very satisfied with the ending. Trust me:) yes the drama literally break our heart along the way. But the ending make u feel like you've been on a long journey and you'll probably think "ah at last..."

She remained as the goddess but she chose to live on earth with yu si feng. Yu si feng also remained as demon. If i'm not mistaken both of them remained as immortal but they simply chose to live on earth like a normal human

Love and Redemption was the best drama of 2020 for me too. It also became the top of my all time drama list haha. Yu Sifeng, damn. No one can beat him. Every lifetime he was killed by her, he sacrifices himself willingly each time. I just can't. He's too pure and kind. Yu Sifeng is the best male lead I've ever seen.
If he was killed again and again, does it emotionally drain the viewer. I’m tempted to watch but I wanted to be emotionally drained.

The drama definitely has a happy ending. It’s a must-watch.
I think this song really fits them. "I saw the end 'fore it begun" . Because through the span of many lifetimes, their destiny was already written like a song that can't be changed. They already sang their chorus once, if they change it, then it won't be their song. Sifeng deserved better and I'll always cry about it.
Frankly he was to good for her, hell he was to good for anybody. The amount of suffering SiFeng went thru, it’s a miracle he wasn’t bitter to the whole world.

This is the only c-drama I've watched continuously. I didn't skip any episode nor did I paused. In other c-dramas, I'd pause/stop in the middle of the drama cause it can be boring sometimes but this drama is something else. I love it so much! I finished the drama about 2 months ago but I still can't get over it!!

out of all xianxia dramas that i have watched, this drama left a very deep impression on me aside than the legends. its my fav chinese drama. damn, poor sifeng, my heart hurts for him sobs but no matter how i cannot seem to move on from this drama damn im a simp too for sifeng😭
Me too. Cheng Yi is really a talented actor. I feel the pain when he's hurt. And smile like a fool when he's happy. I end up checking his other dramas but got sad because his character always seems pitiful. At least in this drama, he got his happy ending.
If only The Legends got a better ending.

I think the main couple got together after Mo Qing got out from his hiding. But the way they structure the ending is so confusing. Well at least no one died.
Not only in The promise of chang'an, i've seen some Cheng Yi's footage of The lost tomb 2, and his character also quite sad. I hope his modern drama is light and romantic drama.

i seriously am so in love with this drama, from the actors to the storyline. It unfolded into a thrilling and heartfelt drama. Everything is portrayed efficiently by the talented actors and actresses, especially Chengyi (Si Feng). His acting captivated the audience and it seems everyone was able to feel his pain.
I haven't watched a chinese wuxia drama since 2019 when the latest remake of Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber came out. This drama had me on the edge of seat and deep into my feels. 😭 I can not even begin to express my admiration towards this drama.✨ I hope there will be a sequel with the same cast and to see Chengyi in more dramas as the lead 😊

Love and redemption is one the outstanding and fabulous drama which properly portrayed the role of lead actors and also give us best ever ending. This drama beat all historical dramas. I'm just love this drama and can't get rid of this story. Amazing, I recommend this drama to everyone and I swear it's worth watching. 💯

Both xuanji and sifeng are best .I still can't move out from their chemistry. I am still not ready to see sifeng with another female lead.
This drama is soo good! I love how the female lead character is so soft, innocent and pure yet she's very brave and strong when she speaks out the truth, her beliefs and her love upon Sifeng. The first part of Drama makes it seem like Sifeng is the only one who's hurting again and again but in the middle part it's XianJi turn to suffer all those pain that is not less than Sifeng's.
It's really hurt to watch along as there are so many sad scenes but definitely worth your time, it has bubbly lovey dovey moment to enjoy too. The whole drama strongly goes for true love, belief and loyal to one's love or life.
Now it's on my FAV C Drama list!
Nah after the ‘9 past lives’ part and his death scene, no pain of Xuanji’s could even compare to Sifeng’s. The man was the scriptwriter’s personal punchbag.

I never had the patience to finish a long Chinese drama, I always drop them halfway but this one...There'll be no other drama like this one. It's just too good...I can hardly explain all the emotions it made me feel, I love it so much.
I'm currently watching Ashes of Love after completing Love & Redemption. But I still go back to this cuz my heart can't get enough of Yu Sifeng. I always miss him. He lives in my mind rent-free ~~

And found out that this song is really famous its name is Arcade it was sung and written by
*Duncan lawrence* a 26 yrs old singer songwriter and this song won *Eurovision 2019* a singing contest/festival (where 26 countries will be presenting there songs)& this song is from Netherlands....this songs competed and won against other 25 more countries of europe

FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYY..... Do you even know I've waited for freaking 2 months for your mv. I totally agree, there isn't a drama I've seen male lead being tortured to death throughout every lifetime and he still manage up to remain positive towards the end. He passed my first countdown. First it was Xu Feng and Ye Hua and now he's on top. I started watching this show because I saw similar elements from TMOPB, Ashes of love, Untamed and Legends. Another reason I got more intrigued towards this drama is because female lead is so badass compared to other ones. She can't accept a little harm towards male lead even though unintentionally she's the one that becomes the cause of his pain but what I love is that despite lacking six senses and heart, she managed up to love him sincerely and show her emotions is a convincing way. Her portrayal of emotionless female lead is honestly well portrayed compared to Ashes of Love. All of these are dramas that were THE drama of the year. Though 2020 is yet to be finished but I guess this would remain my favorite of this year, followed by Romance of Tiger and Rose. Thanks for this lovely mv dear, your mvs never disappoint.

@@RoseNZieg ikr? She's one of the only Chinese female lead who didn't disappointed me. Her portrayal of a character that lacks the knowledge to differentiate between emotions is so great compared to other dramas where female leads just lacks love but acts dumb as if they don't have a fine mindset or six senses. Here even though Xuanji didn't have six sense (the ability to differentiate feelings, smell, touch, etc) but it doesn't mean she didn't have them in her. She did feel but just couldn't differentiate because of the lock on her senses. However she fought side by side with Si Feng in each battle and was always able to distinguished things between right and wrong with the help of Linglong (her sister) and Si Feng. Whenever the group wants to protect her, in the end she's the one that ends up saving them and becoming knight in shining armor for Si Feng. Sometimes I really feels that genders are always switched in here😂. The only moment she made a mistake is not trusting Si Feng regards that senior Bai but she can't really blamed here to be honest. Si Feng never felt the need to share these small details with her, if only they didn't lack communication skills in here then perhaps they could've dwelt with that struggle too. But I guess it became a stereotype of Cdramas to consist a strong yet innocent male lead and make female lead betray him at some points so I blame the writing here.

@@Tooba-K123 ya more than half the times, male lead gets the female script. that fact just tickles me every time i think about it. i also didn't like that male lead kept keeping secrets from female lead. i'm like 'it's going to come and bite him in the butt later.' betrayal is just another hurdle for the characters to move forward. we could do without it of course, but it's up to the scriptwriter and the original materials.

Initially I wasn’t going to watch this drama because it was 59 episodes long. Anything over 40 episode is pushing it for me(I’m lazy lol) unless it’s a really great drama then I would push through but when you posted this video I knew I have to watch it. I discover so many great dramas through your channel! 💜 And now like many others I CANNOT MOVE ON FROM THIS DRAMA. Even all the villains are handsome! I like how the FL always gives the ML the benefit of the doubt. Their misunderstanding is justifiable and brief. And most importantly I’m glad it was a happy ending.

I like the male actor so much in this movie.Cause i can feel his pain and the way he likes her is very touching.Even though Quan Ji didn't realize his feeling at first,he still likes her as a crazy person.

Sofar,out of all the dramas i have watched,this is the best drama.literally i couldnt stop crying the whole drama.literally cheng yi felt so much pain,along with crystal yaun as well. I couldnt conceal my emotions.tbh,this is one of the dramas that make me want to be an actress in the future

Never thought I would find a drama on par with Ashes of love, legend of fuyao & ten miles of peach blossom. 😍😍 This is definitely added to my MUST WATCH list. Although there are many misunderstandings but in the end it was very satisfying.. The story is super interesting and ridiculously evil but I’m glad the bad guys got what they deserved at the end.😼 I feel that this drama is like The Legend + Ashes of love hehe because it shows that not everyone from the demon sect are EVIL & BAD people!! And some parts also reminds me of ashes of love.
In conclusion, SUPER GREAT DRAMA!! Easily one of the best I’ve came across! I highly recommend you to watch it if you haven’t already.

I loved this drama to bits and pieces!! I loved the characters, the originality of the story and the soundtrack. Xuan Ji was well written and a female lead worth rooting for while Si Feng was a bundle of self-sacrifice. I didn't feel that bad for Si Feng because a lot of his pain was self-inflicted. He took on all the burden unto himself therefore his pain was his choice (didn't make me love him any less).

I love both leads..The drama is essentially about the Female character. Her suffering can only be imagined ;the horror of how she came to be,betrayal of friendship & killing her innocent people & being used as a weapon by the heavenly realm is only imaginable. If any human being were to pass through all those in real life via different case scenarios, they sure would be in the Psychiatric Hospital insane or living a vengeful life till their very deaths! Sifeng took her pains & anger through each 10 lifetimes...My heart goes out to people who have & are passing through troubled waters such as this...May you find your Sifeng/ May your Sifeng come to you.💌. Crystal Yuang did well portraying such varying degrees of the Female lead's emotion & characters all wrapped up in 1!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Your video introduced me to the best drama ever made.. Even though I was reluctant to start the drama as there are 59 episodes, and even thought I would stop watching in the middle but once I started watching the drama I was stunt how amazing this drama is.i completed all 59 episodes which is also 1st time for me. It sure made me cry and this is my 1st time crying that hard for a drama.. If anyone here is wondering if they should watch it or not please don't think twice and watch it.
Best wuxia xianxia drama so far for me, I didn't skip it a bit. My previous favourite wuxia xianxia dramas are Ten Miles of Peach Blossom, The Untamed, and Ashes of Love. And while watching these three I still skipped some parts but I managed to fully finish Love and Redemption
