There's something that surprises me a bit in many of the high-level and mid-level games you cast: many hold onto red for dear life. I can understand 1. banking it for a nuke; and 2. micro is hard -- but still.
@@Gedainify no excuse for the LC because flare is so universally amazing. Apo though doesn't have too many easy to use applications. Angels of death is a god tier global you wanna save for key big army Vs army engagements and larramans blessing literally only helps if you fuck up and lose your hero. But yeah, otherwise, I would just caution that I do think skill has generally declined in all things other than builds in the MUs for multiple years now.
Commie's T1 Carapace Armor is legit all you need. It lowers the energy cost for execute and lowers the cooldown to something ridiculous like 10 seconds with health regen on top. If he's not getting stuck in with his power sword and you have him just healing with the aura from the back then he should be popping plasma GMs every time it's off cooldown, especially with a Chimera. You now have the damage output of 4 squads of plasma GM for next to no req cost. Executing the lascannon HWT is also crucial. Several times the Dreadnought would've died outright if he'd executed them
What was the bonk sound? Tough loss for Jones, really thought Piano was a dead man. I feel like the spiral started ironically when the dreadnought accidentally blew the ied killing several ogryns and the commisar. I think thats what caused him to get bullgryns, which also prevented him getting the russ, as he calculated it would be better to get bullgryns rather than reinforce the ogryns. I wish Piano would stop ignoring the VPs until it is critical. I wonder if he does that intentionally to make it more interesting.
@@jamesd.2776 No I talk about in a cast. Piano really never valued VPs highly. He prefers the momentum early of the stronger eco by going for eco points first.
Why do people think apo is so weak? i'm trash at the game but whenever i play against an apo they just almost never bleed models on anything besides the scouts! heals on tanky sm is pretty good right.
@@beterrick2012 Heals on SM is nice because they don't lose models but mekboy has a stronger heal from battery pack whilst having way better mobility, AV gears, all sorts. The Apo is fine in teams but in 1v1 his lack of presence early on is a huge weakness. No AV also.
Meh. Really didn't like this aggressive sm opening with the far node scout cap and flamer tac rush. pano didn't have his 2 natural req points for so long. The flamer tacs are also very easily tied up early on by the LC. Meanwhile it's so much easier for 1 gm to get flamers and counter bash.
@@mizumisa6620 I agree. You have to consolidate your power as SM Vs IG. Blob a lot. Play defence. At least till you get your full T1 build out. Then you can sometimes do a big timing push but even then it's risky. Going for wipes on squads in T2 when you get hellfire sterns and things like that is probably wiser.
@@paranoid1987 I mean a bit of an extreme reaction, but I do question whether the nerf was necessary or not esp given the sternguard drop pod changes which make getting that cheap late game plasma harder
@@SenpaiTorpidDOW The time it takes for Plasma Tacs to kill a model on a unit it's supposed to be countering takes too long now. The result is that they don't cause model losses so I said they don't kill anymore. I've had them shooting at a War Brood and the Nid didn't even bother tying them up.

He was spamming attack and stop on the node. It's a abuse of mechanics which allows you to fire your flamer at the gens despite being tied up.
Yeah, attempting to finish the gen in spite of being tied in melee.
