    miss Amanda what about this one: "ni1 go3 hai6 ngo5 baa4 baa1" we can put measure word after hai6 (to be)?

    • @5minutecantonese
      @5minutecantonese  3 года назад

      It's correct! You don't need a measure word for that. It's understandable to say ngo5 ge3
      But without it sounds better

    2:51 i dont understand why we have to write "yiu3" (to need) when we already wrote "seung2"
    why are we saying TWICE that we "TO WANT" + "TO NEED"
    im understanding it as if i'm directly saying: "I want need this (ORANGE)"
    instead of
    "I want this (ORANGE)"
    ngo5 seung2 gwo2 go3

      Please refer to lesson 84 for more details.
      Jiu3 also means " to take " like
      "I take this"
      It's not a must for cantonese to use the word "to want" want asking for something 😁 But it’s a must for us to use the word "jiu3"
