Yeah! the lyrics also reference a Stephen Foster composition, Camptown Races - “gwine to run all night, gwine to run all day / Camptown ladies never sang all the doo-dah day” Really the theme in the song, to some degree, is espousing a more dangerous, hedonistic lifestyle than Foster’s vision of the world - his music was/is very popular but kind of saccharine and inoffensive. You can picture the singer accosting a more conservative Foster, literally being seen as a ghost like in a vision, telling him how he himself is going to live - ships were made for sinking, whiskey made for drinking, etc.

Just because someone decides to use the rubber hose style doesn’t mean they’re like Cuphead in any way. Това е една от най великите песни!!! :-)
This bodacious Cab Calloway and Fleischer Studios tribute justifies the existence of the western world.
HACK N SLASH
Legitimately one of the creepiest and most awesome videos I have ever seen
the bearded guy would make a great cuphead boss
Just because someone decides to use the rubber hose style doesn’t mean they’re like Cuphead in any way. They use the same style of animation but this is its own thing and they’re both great in different ways. It has existed for hundreds of years now and just makes it harder for other who want to call back to that influential form of animation. Im a fan of Cuphead but calling this the “Cuphead style” is like looking at the long line of black history that went into the formation of jazz music and going “0h like that one
(admittedly really good)
xbox game by 2 guys from Canada”
@@Dr._Bacco You must be fun at parties. The OP was just stating that the hotel owner would make a neat boss in a video game. Just take it for what it is.
@@Dr._Bacco This is why you don't have friends.
@@hobosorcerer I feel I can upvote a McHitler for this comment.
@@Dr._Bacco Wow, you're a smug asshole
I live in a world FULL of music, and constantly bounce and move to it!!!
That was awesome! It really looked like if it really came from a Fleischer bros. cartoon.
Aww man, I stumbled upon three SNZ CDs today and Perennial Favorites wasn't in the lot! I still bought the other ones, great music all around!
It's 2023 now getting a kick out of this video lol
Homage to Cab Callaway in the intro of video? This is brilliant!
Cuphead 2 and this... Studio MDHR make it happen! Please? ;)
Would love to see this get remastered -- some really beautiful animation that holds up!
