Pelagic Birding Cape Hatteras (featuring Hadoram Shirihai)

Headed thirty miles offshore into the Gulf Stream with Seabirding (Stormy Petrel II) to view black-capped petrel and the many other pelagic species that venture into these productive waters in the spring. World seabird expert Hadoram Shirihai was onboard collecting images for his forthcoming book on world procellariids. Luck was on our side for both days with great views of Pomarine and Long-tailed Jaejer plus Sooty, Cory's and Manx Shearwaters. We even spotted light and dark morph Trindade petrels!
