    My Giotto machine is 23 years old. The E61 brewing group is quite the same, but the inner life of the machine is completely different.

    Hello WWL guys! Could you, please, specify what is the diameter of the hole restrictor mounted at the pipe ends which enter into the brew groups? It seems that it is small than 5 mm, but I cannot be sure. It may be 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm. My next question is are these restrictors are repairable in case of lime scaling? These restrictor is shown on 8 min 39 s
    Thanks and regards,
    Petar

      +Petar Rusev We're contacting Rocket to get the specific size of the flow restrictor and will share that information when they reply. As for dealing with lime scale, you don't need to repair it, you can remove the part and use a descaling solution. Could also use a tool to scrape out tough deposits. Just be careful to not enlarge the orifice if using a tool.

      +Petar Rusev Hi Petar, Heard back from Rocket:
      "Group restrictor is 3MM located in the top group pipe"

      +Whole Latte Love Thank you guys! You are real professionals! My next question is what is the diameter of the group pipe of the rocket cellini evo v2? For example, from your presentation of Expobar Brewtus IV I understood that its grouphead pipes diameter is 12 mm. Also Todd said that the Expobar Brewtus IV make the best espresso shots among all the machines sold in your store!? What do you recommend - Rocket Espresso Cellini evo v2 or Expobar Brewtus IV vibratory pump having in mind that I will not plumb the machine? In the presentation Todd made shots only with Expobar Brewtus IV Rotary pump machine ... So, what is your recomendation having in mind that the price of both Rocket and Expobar machines is the same - 1850 USD? Thank you!

    Will you do a similar tear down of the 2017 model(s)?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  7 лет назад

      Hi T13, It's possible. Is there a particular model you are interested in?

    • @Tanax13
      @Tanax13 7 лет назад

      Hi WLL! Both Evoluzione R (preferably the Mozzafiato variant) and the Appartamento (I didn't find any reviews by you guys for that model) :)

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  7 лет назад

      Thanks for the suggestions. Will see what we can do. No reviews at this point as we are not carrying those models. If interested in the Appartamento you might want to check out the Profitec Pro 300. It's similar in size and price to Appartamento but is dual boiler PID. Here's our video review of the 300: ruclips.net/video/tQXm25pMXds/видео.html
      As for the Evoluzione R M variant. Thinks it's unlikely we will carry the machine. It's rather pricey in comparison to similar spec'd heat exchange machines and to some extent PID on an HX machine is more marketing than a truly useful feature.

      Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear that. Not a fan of the Pro 300 aesthetically. I love Profitec but I'm more a fan of classic looks (Pro 700, ECM Technika Profi). Unfortunately those machines are too big for me. The Evoluzione R Mozzafiato is only 28 cm wide whereas the ECM Technika Profi, which is a "similarly spec'd" HX machine, is 32.5 cm wide. Depth difference is even bigger with Evo at 42.5 cm deep and Technika at 47.5 cm. I love the clean internals of Profitec and ECM machines, as well as their craftmanship details and choice of material (e.g. stainless steel boilers), but they are unfortunately too big for me :/ I agree the PID doesn't shine on an HX machine, but it does make it more quiet (no clicking).

    I have a Rocket Modello Cellini Plus V3 and originally the machine was not filling the pressure tank and folks in Italy suggested changing the control box and the wire harness plus the heat element. We originally thought their advice was incorrect but did the recommended changes anyways. No luck so we ordered and changed out the pump and now the machine seems to sound correctly and fills the pressure tank. Steam and hot water now come out as usual; however the brewing function still does not work. We see the brew gauge does not read pressure but the steam gauge does. When I look at the brew switch inside the machine (raising the brew lever activates the switch) I may have inadvertently reconnected the wires incorrectly when I replaced the wire harness. There is a brown and black wire connected to the brew switch coming from the control box and there are three connectors. Two at an equal lower lever and one up higher on the inside top part of the switch. Can you tell me which connectors to use to connect the two wires? Thanks a ton. I think we almost have this machine working but need this last detail resolved.

    Is it hard to replace the controlbox by yourself?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  6 лет назад

      Hi NM, Thanks for the question. Should not be difficult. Honestly getting into the machine to do it is probably more difficult.

      Whole Latte Love ok so buying a 7 year old one with broken control box for 400USD is a good deal?

    turning on the motor not a pump, please don't call motor a pump during presentation :)

      @Wholelattelovepage  7 лет назад

      Hi MK, thanks for the comment. If being very technical about things you are correct with turning on a motor. Of course the motor turns a pump. Shooting in the dark but guessing you're an engineer? :)))
