Thank you, Alex, for sharing this fascinating story of one person's/family's experiences moving to Malta. I find fascinating that Aftab's reason for selecting Malta had to do with the weather and with cricket in large part! Another wonderful video, Alex!
Hey Alex, Deepika here. Excellent video. Aftab is such a wonderful guy and he was so genuine in his expression. I am also from India and I have a kid who is special as well. So I could relate to everything he was saying. You conducted the interview very well by giving him his space and letting his thoughts flow in a nice way. If it is not a problem, I would love to connect with Aftab to get more information for my son's sake. Do let me know if it is possible. Thank you for another great video ❤
He's such an intelligent person, he should be highly appreciated for his contribution to the Maltese economy. I'm glad his situation has changed since 2018. Also, such a nice background you have chosen! Just a question: what's up with the weather lately, I see it's unnormally cloudy on the island. Or is it how the weather is like usually in June?
June is normal to get some clouds and even rain sometimes, but that's due to the season settling. And a few days of sun, sunshine, and more sunny days, blue skies, heat, sand and sea between June~October roughly.
Another excellent video. Alex, I wonder if you would ever consider doing a video about people who have learned/ are learning the Maltese language? As a Maltese person, I’d be fascinated to hear peoples’ stories.

The thing I don't understand is why come all the way to India and agree to be "enslaved"? I notice that many Indians don't say anything bad about their country but with the large numbers emigrating each year and the rise in their economy I wonder what's going on?
He explained in the very beginning - because of family. Since we didn’t want to uproot our child as he was already facing speech delay. Going back means trying to learn another Indian language (since we have more than 30 languages) which is not that easy considering our son’s delay. Also, if you have time, try to read about socio-political issues going on these days in India.
@@asnaeram I'm sorry to hear about your son, may he do better since I can relate to this problem. Put plain and simple many Indians do not like to talk about the lack of economic opportunities and state of affairs of their country, be it because of the caste system or lack of economic freedom which India ranks so poorly in international polls. Modi has adopted a centralized government state which controls many segments of the economy hindering privatized companies to grow. My father also went to work abroad in the past and his life wasn't easy, but he was always grateful to have a job and the liberty to work.

Still trying to understand the point of the video. There are several Indians who are doing very well in Malta. The only difference is they are quiet and not make a brouhaha of the life they lead. And about the beer thing, several Europeans also drink beer on the streets, on the promenades, on the beaches, and during these summer festas!. Its just perspective (or I would say the eye lens) you have towards the other person! Cheers from an Indian :P PS: Agencies should never exist in the first place. Coming 5000 miles away to flip burgers isn't really a job. Its a negative investment. I hope my countrymen would later (not sooner) understand this.
