Yes,that’s what I learned that the male mealies fly,Mongrels!!😡 I have started using ‘sticky traps’ that come as a stick that you put into the pot and I have seen unusual flying bugs stuck to it,I’m presuming that might be male mealies, as the infestation has died down a lot since.🤷🏻♀️🤞
Girl! When that Hoya Crassipetiolata blooms you will fall for her!! I promise. Mine bloomed this year all summer long and she is hard to resist. Great walk through. It’s very evident when you are on top of the plants. Enjoy your concerts. You deserve it!!! ❤❤❤
Your pings made me go out and grab a couple! I watched the video where you made the Pingdom and have been wanting to make one since. Just obtained a bowl of my grandmothers that I’m planning on using for one ❤️
wooo excited to watch this while i do plant chores & reorganize my collection to figure out where i’m going to put the 5 plants i ordered this weekend 🫣 bought my first ever hoya (a hoya mathilde!) and i’m crossing my fingers she does well & eventually blooms for me one day!!
Fern, I can't wait to get my 2 new beauty's on Wednesday - thanks again for the 15% stacked discount from Plant Haven! A Hoya Leucantha & Macrophylla Pot of Gold :) Wow, 11:32 she is stunning. I've always hated begonias for being granny plants, but got one some pinkish coloured one - I thought I try one bc of you, and she has really grown on me, super easy to grow. But that Lucerne is truly amazing - I had no idea they were that beautiful!
Obsessed with your collection, these are my favorite videos to look forward to! All your Hoya look incredible and I think you’ve just inspired me to get a philo Serpens with that stunnnnning new pillowy leaf ❤
Hi Fern, so sorry to hear about the flat mites. Have you seen that Bios now has a liquid sulphur concentrate. It does have a mild sulphur odor, but not too bad. It's so much easier to work with. I'm so over the pests right now, I let thrips get way out of control.
I love begonia’s too the Angel wings. I just bought Cracklin Rose I’ve been obsessed with since seeing yours you had she’s gorgeous! My Black Friday shopping video coming out today shows her you’ll love her. ❤
I love this video and all your video really! I had a flat mite outbreak on my Hoyas! 😱 I noticed some were dropping leaves. Ugh, I think I’d rather mealies. 🧡🌱🧡
🫢I use nanofoamer’s milk frother for whisking matcha, treating them as oat milk gives the most beautiful “crema”like what you see on traditional matcha. Other brand called Dreo has a great milk frother as well. These 2 brands are the newly emerged milk frothers designed for milk for espresso, the way they work is different from traditionally electronic frother, making the matcha or milk foam very silky.
Thank you for pointing out where to find flat mites. It’s so helpful for people. Sadly, I recently discovered this. I’m hoping the Safers ready-to-use spray sulfur will work. It doesn’t smell and no mixing
Have you tried sizing up begonia Sarawak in a prop box first? I’m getting a cutting as big as I can before transferring to a cloche. They tend to melt 😭
Hello Fern, I realised some of your hoyas grow in Sphagnum moss and some in potting soil? Any tips on growing in Sphagnum moss? As I’m planning to shift divide some of my Hoya Sunrise into Sphagnum moss. Thanks!💚💚💚
Stunning plants! Why not try trailing the Indonesian mint Adonsonii around the mirror or just let it crawl on the edge of a shelf along the shelf horisontally? Or somehow crawling across top of window or windowsill. I'm not fond of the plant's colouring or look, but since you are, maybe find a way to mask its sparseness.
Awe I hate that Greta had the white demons but before you put another plant around the mirror make sure to clean and treat in ALL the crevices. Mealybugs will lay there egg sacks on hard surfaces and thus they can hatch and infest any new plant you put there. I learned this from Houseplantjournal. He had a really informative post on his website about them. And thank you so much for these amazing videos❤❤
Your plants look great! That is so unacceptable that mealy bugs fly...I betta not EVER see such a sight. Does that matcha tea really give you energy? I need more energy. I think the scindapsis would look cute around your mirror. And you need to go ahead and mail me that mellanobullata....nevermind, I proabably would kill it.🤣🤣
SAME! I'm okay for now because everything is small but once it gets bigger, I'm royally screwed. But there's always room for a variegated silver sword though :D
You’re saying those little cotton headed demon nuggets FLY?! 😱😭
@@Anthurimom yesss 😩😩😩 it’s awful I know lol
@@wildfern The adult male mealy bugs fly, but they look more like a wasp and less like an actual mealy bug.

Mites having a party , ha so funny
You mentioned this video in the anthurium video and I’ve been anxiously awaiting it. I love listening to you while I do chores!
ahh I'm so glad you were looking forward to it, that means a lot 💖
You should try and do a benjiplant-style desert bowl/scape with those haworthias! I think they would look stunning in that bowl with some sand/rocks
another great video, really enjoyed!
thank you so much :)
Always love your videos

Fern, random thought but your thumbnails for this channel and your vlogs have been so aesthetic lately!✨
ahh thank you so much for noticing! I've been having a lot of fun with them :)
The Hoya GPS 7240 is the first one I actually bought. It just really hit a soft spot in my heart. I hope yours survives. All my best wishes to it.
can you tell us all of the online plant stores you order from
I love this video and all your video really! I had a flat mite outbreak on my Hoyas! 😱 I noticed some were dropping leaves. Ugh, I think I’d rather mealies. 🧡🌱🧡
ugh yeah they are so annoying :( and even worse that they're less visible so it's harder to know if it's resolved or not

There's these cool bookcase brackets by Umbra where you can stack your books vertically. You should look into some of those for your collection.
Not you seeing the flat mites partying on your Hoya crimson queen 😭😭💀 idk why that killed me when you said that 😂
Lmaooo girl I gasped 😩
Have you tried sizing up begonia Sarawak in a prop box first? I’m getting a cutting as big as I can before transferring to a cloche. They tend to melt 😭
Learning mealies fly ruined my day 😂😂😂💀
lol I am so sorry!!
@ it’s not your fault ! They’re just evil 😂 I love you either way 😭 I love your videos you’re such a vibe 💖

I wonder if you can grow begonia outside in your area? I’ve only ever seen them as outside/landscaping plants!
Do you still have your philodendron halo micans ? Or did I just miss it I love the little tiger pot 😂🥰
Hey Fern 👋 Still watching just Not Allowed to comment as much. Go plaaannttssss!
What conditions are you giving your pings to make them bloom? ❤😲 edit to add that I hope you have so much fun in Vancouver and be safe! 🎉🎶🎤❤️
How do we find this mystery other channel?
That’s exciting!!! What’ camera do you have now?
Sony ZV-1 mark ii - so the same camera I had before, but the new version! it's supposed to have better stabilization which is nice.
@ hehe. I guessed that since i remembered you had the Mark I. Nice! Have fun with your new gear. 🫶🏽🪴

I’m never opening the windows again.. the thought that those feather like plant suckers fly terrifies me. 😮
I’m curious about the watering on those Rousseau pots, does it leak out the straps? Do you need a tray?
You definitely need a tray!! It leaks out the holes in the bottom 💧

Fern - I have a Sarawak for you if you’d like to try again 💖🌿🤍
Sorry I have no idea which variety the Watsoniana is 😂 But I’m so happy she brings you so much joy 🤍🌿
whatever she is she's a NICE one hahaha

What exactly do you mean by getting rid of pants? 😅 do you give them to friends etc. or do you just toss them?😅😅
Plants* obviously 😂
it depends on the plant, often compost them but if it's a nice one we'll usually give it to a friend :)

@ Same here. This recent Black Friday was not good for my bank account nor for the space in my appartement. Is there a plant anonymous?
