As CS Lewis said, “we’ve removed the organ and demand the function.” Different context, but truth remains. If the Liturgy isn’t reverent and doesn’t clearly communicate the real presence, then this journey becomes incredibly difficult and even confusing.
Just like prayer, reading the Bible is so important. You can't love what you don't know. Know Him in scripture and let Him speak to you through it. Write down what stood out when reading (that's a way the Lord speaks to you).
