thanks for the video. right before you connected the sensor at the end, their was a pipe that you fastened right before that, not the connecting pipe to the main one, but at the bottom. What was that connected too? Also, on a 3.5 Ecoboost, what kind of HP do you gain?
After installing this Afe fuel intake do you need to make any changes to the electronic system to enrichen the fuel do to the increased air flow that would make it run lean.
Is there any easy way to clear the check engine light code, accidentally installed mine backward initially, corrected the issue but the check engine is still on.

Yep and my check engine light came on didnt put it in thought I didnt need it but my light came days later got the code read it was the p04db code for crankcase breather disconnected the tube is important
It looks like it should fit, but I can't confirm 100% if it will or wont work. But it is way better than the factory intake and sounds pretty good too.

Finding this tube insert on the website is impossible. This part is too hard to find. I have a 2016 ecoboost. Guess I'll try calling the company itself to find it smh 🤦♂️ pain in the a$$
That is one BODACIOUS air intake system. The weather stripping seal notwithstanding.
It's holding up to this day perfectly fine.

looks like it would be a hot air intake compared to what comes on the truck
The rubber trim seals around the hood and it used the factory air scoop to pull cooler air from the front of the truck.

If it doesn't come with a tube, you will get a check engine light, make sure AFE sent you a tube insert.
why is an H-pipe needed for the intake piping?
It's needed to balance the pressure between the two different intake kit tubes.

You want the opening of the insert facing the turbo.

That sensor is a temperature sensor not a maf sensor.

Did you get the code cleared? I didn’t put my tube in but I am tomorrow because my light came on...
Go to autozone and ask to borrow the nicer code reader, it will be able to clear it
the PCV restrictor seems hokey
Without it you will get a check engine light.
Does this apply for the 2017 3.5l Eco as well?

Theyre all great and certainly better than the factory intake, but AFE is my personal favorite.

If it's required AFE will supply it with the kit, your truck may not require it.

It has a MAP sensor in the intake manifold.
And in the video he called the IAT a MAP sensor even though it's in the suction pipe. LOL

I dont believe the tube is necessary for a 2014 Ecoboost, there are oiled and dry filter options available for AFE intakes.

The intake in this video will only work for the Ecoboost F150

The tube insert should have came with the kit, if you purchased it from CJPonyParts contact our customer support, if not contact AFE.
