I believe that Dave Johnson is the best cover artist working in comics today and I’ve never read that comic. I need to rectify that. Thanks for mentioning it!
really nice podcast. for those who like futuristic tech art I would like to recommend Juan Gimenez . an Argentinian artist/writer with some of the most beautiful work I've seen
As far as BWS on Weapon X, I kind of wonder if Brainstorm (early 80s movie about virtual reality) was an influence on him. Some of the tech in the movie reminded me of what he did in that series (& Machine Man too).
Dave Johnson on Superpatriot!

Really fun video, and I love your examples. You essentially showed the greatest hits of my fave artists.
Glad you enjoyed!!

Thank you! He’s definitely a favourite of ours!
Guess i caught the start of this channel pretty early on! Cool stuff, i'll be keeping up with these episodes.
Much appreciated!! 😊
You guys missed Richard Bennett. The hardware he drew, especially in Brass, was something else.
Good call! I’ve always meant to read Brass, but never did. When I was younger, I really appreciated when Bennett did finishes over Jim Lee’s art.
hey this vid was awesome and has introduced me to many tech heavy artists I didn't know about, also advise and concepts I hadn't considered before!
So glad we could help!!

I’ve never heard of that movie. But now I definitely have to check it out. Thanks for recommending it!!
Shirow wins if you actually do anything more than passively flip the pages of one book you've never read.
It’s difficult to argue against Masamune Shirow’s genius.
