- For this week's toy tuesday, i'm revisiting a toy my dad bought me for christmas after going to look at a toy collection. the tamiya holiday buggy was one of my favorite presents and this re issue from tamiya has proved a challenge to get together in a week, but i've sort of got it running !

Well done, nice car, I only have one RC car a Ford focus a buddy gave me. I never had one as boy, or a scalextric, but thanks to mu buddy I got the RC boxed ticked.
Children aren't capable of fully comprehending RC cars and how to tune them.

As a dad to be I really hope these don't come back I remember my dad spending days and nights before Christmas and even Christmas Day building me a nitro truck only for me to launch it off a plywood ramp into a drystone wall and destroy the front suspension and wheel then going after Boxing Day to the local tiny toy shop to order the parts from the catalogue haha what a world we lived in!

Learnt how to skid it on the road at the back of the shop ! We’ll have to try that next 😂😂😂
You need to swap the ch1 and ch2 plugs in the receiver. Ch1 is steering/servo, ch2 is throttle/ESC. Also mount the ESC on the same side as the motor so the wires aren’t going over the battery. Did you ask for nickel batteries ? Switch to lipo’s they are much lighter and have twice the run time.

Is this a 1st RC car for you?
For me the 1st 1 I saw was tamiya rough rider.
My hobby shop died soon after.
Decades later I got a reissue.
It's better than, I know.
I can tell these days.
