The answer to this question would be, because they do not find a wife in her. She is a perpetual girlfriend, and an excessively demanding and controlling one. Alas, her work requires these qualities of her. But no man (accomplished, successful) is looking for such qualities in a wife. A younger man who has not accomplished much in life, would stay with her. JLo wants to marry someone who is popular and famous in his own right. But they do not get what they need from her: a wife and a mother.
