Yes, Melynda is our top comic actor, locally. She has a lot of help with her other actors as well.

    1. As you read the tile and reflect on it, what might be the meaning of “Fourteen”?
    2. What event might be about to happen which seems to make Mrs. Pringle excitable?
    3. What ideas and feelings are you learning about Dunham and Elaine?
    4. Who is Elaine?
    5. Is Mrs. Pringle choosy for Elaine’s future?
    6. What characters are revealed about the hostess?
    7. Are there arguments or differences in opinions and ideas?
    8. What is interesting about the number fourteen?
    9. From what social classes do the guests belong?
    10. Why does Elaine say the she “bungles” things?
    11. What is Mrs. Pringles feeling when she says that Elaine sits next to Oliver Famsworth?

      12. Can we observe what an actor playing Dunham can do on stage with actions not specified by the text -- in other words, his improvisations?
