For the prismacolor, only use an electric sharpener. I’ve been using them for 40 years. The older ones were better but using a hand sharpener will actually break the lead down the shaft. Since I started using an electric sharpener 10 years ago the breaking issue has disappeared. Unless I bounce a pencil off of a tile or concrete floor.
@@ChaosOrZen sadly, I only use an electric sharpener and still lots of breakage. But I only got mine maybe 3 or 4 yrs ago. I definitely have heard that it was less of an issue in the past
Oh don't worry. A lot of people have commented that they like their TH rotary cutter and one person said she was having the same issues I was but reached out to their customer support and after some troubleshooting the company ended up sending her a new one and it works great. So I think there might be a consistency in quality issue and I probably got a lemon. Sadly, way too late for me to reach out to customer support.

The TH cutter is a no go because you have to squeeze it to get it to cut. Too much work for aging crafters. The motto keep it simple is a must for me. On the mushroom punch cinch - there are dies that cut that shape now.
I know, right??? I've tried everything... I watch the TH video and other suggested videos JM, SH, etc. and followed all their recommendations for tilting the blade inward, etc. etc. I really did want to love it. But it's only 20% an acceptable cut (nice and clean all the way through) and 80% of the time has some imperfections that I have to sand out. It really should just work w/o any thought or special consideration. OK... I think I'm preaching to the choir, here...LOL I'm happy for the people who can get it to work, but in my hands it's a no go too.
@@LVHandcrafted I had a big reply to all of the items that were 'blah" but RUclips & my phone ate it. lol. That WRM create a stamp is a big No go for me. It requires too much craft room space and too much work for a teeny tiny stamp. On the Precision Glue press, I am grateful for this device since I can't use glue bottles without a lot of effort. This press is nice BUT has an issue with caps breaking and nozzles coming out which Tonic is well aware of. The holder is too fiddly to get it to seal the nozzle so that you don't need to put the cap on. I just wished it was another company that has a much better customer service manners that invented this. I went direct to Tonic for my issue instead of the creator. I love Glassboard Studios products and their social media person. My Barely Art Glue is all of sudden not working well - it isn't staying glued - don't know if it is my humidity level being high or if my BA glue is too old. I don't think you can use a PVA glue in the Precision Glue Press. For the nuvo glue I found I need to use the larger nozzle for it to come out. Have you tried stickles with yours - Range showed it can be used with a round bottle.
Thanks so much for sharing! Sorry you had to type everything over again. And that sucks that customer service on the press hasn't been helpful. I don't what's going on with your bearly art glue. I know lala bought a bottle that seemed very watery so it seems maybe there are some consistency issues? So far I haven't had issues but I do get the big refill bottles and it seems ok. It's about 3 months old and only half used. Still seems to stick ok
@@kiminalaska9363 I'm still waiting too!! They advertised Nov 15 and it never went live. It has said sold out forever now but I don't think it actually ever was available. :(
Really enjoyed your commentary! You're one of the few people that talked about the Bria Die Cutter. That was my first and now I have all three sizes. I want to get a Platinum machine but I'll always keep one of the Bria's - you can't beat the adjustable pressure rollers! I use mine for BetterPress and Glimmer as well and like your it does a fantastic job. The only reason I want a Platinum is I think they are more durable and my Bria does go through lots of plates - but again prob my fault for cranking up the pressure! I use regular plastic plates with mine now too - I went through the softer ones too quick. Got a magic mat and that helps but does not work as well on intricate dies. Hope to try out the Posca Pencils sometime too!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad this super long video was OK. I think the Bira Craft machine is really great. I love the adjustable rollers too. It's so much better than using cardstock shims. LOL. Have you tried the CraftFirst cutting plates? They seem to last pretty long in my other die cutting machines like the gemini, which has a lot of pressure also.

@@LVHandcrafted I’d return that sucker Linh
I'm way past the return window. Lol
Wait you don't have the mamma minc?
No, just the mini... I was thinking about getting the WRMK one but...
@@LVHandcrafted I know how that ended. Mea culpa!
I love my glue press
It's pretty great! I love mine too!
You need an intervention…I thought I was in trouble…but you may win.😊
😂😂😂 just don't say that to my husband. 🤪
Reds stain everything! Watch one of Jennifer McGuire's live videos - creativity is messy!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
I also have way too many trimmers
No such thing, my friend. You can never have enough! I'm eyeing the cinch stack cutter
@ the stack cutter finally came out? I have been waiting for that
@ I see that it is sold out. I am on the notify me list.
@@kiminalaska9363 I'm still waiting too!! They advertised Nov 15 and it never went live. It has said sold out forever now but I don't think it actually ever was available. :(
@@kiminalaska9363 I can't remember if I signed up for that. I better do it. Lol I've just been going to the page and refreshing every couple days. 🤪
Use tin foil to sharpen the blade
Thanks! That does help!
Not comfortable taking the plastic guard off my guillotine!
Girl, you need a trimmer that has a double-wide guard! LOL 🤣

You might need help w/ the CINCH!
LOL...
Informative & appreciated the info.....however too wordy kept; saying please get to the point, believe with time & more practice the vids will get better. Perhaps watch others with more viewers.
I will continue to watch however may fast forward at times.
Thanks so much for the feedback!
I hate rotary trimmers
Lol. 🤣 I've seen people use them and like them. It's why I wanted to give it a shot. But yeah, I'm not a fan either. Lol
