    Read the book 2-3x (The Color Purple), saw the movie in different countries (the audiences always cried), and bought the movie soundtrack (with Tata Vega contributing). I tell you, her voice comes out of nowhere and becomes everything for you. It is of an emotional attention that takes you on a journey. Best song on the film soundtrack.

    Tata Vega singing "Speak Lord". I think this was also sung briefly when Tata Vega sung in "The Color Purple" film for Stephen Spielberg Tata recorded this on one of her recent CDS.

    No problem. I am actually a background singer maniac. If you ever want a treat check out Luther Vandross Your Secret Love CD. Luther began as a background singer himself and would pull the best of the best for his CDs. Among the most star studded assemblies would be Quincy Jones's group on the track "Where Were You When I needed You" where each of about 25 singers are miked individually, and "State of Independence" by Donna Summer where about 50 stars were recorded doing backgrounds.

    THE DRUMMER IS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY OFF!!!!

  • @imtboi
    @imtboi 9 лет назад +8

    Why do white people clap on the off beat like that? LOL. Totally messed up the rhythm of the song. And the drummer didn't know what to do!

    • @RTMorasonMD2

      And you can magically tell the race of each of the people clapping in this big room. That's an amazing feat of perception you have. Congratulations on your talent.

      Thanks! Didn't know it was a talent. Nice try =)

      That was sarcasm. I was there, and I can assure you there was a mixture of races in that clapping crowd.

      +RTMorasonMD2 Of course people of colour have a sense of rhythm and time that no other race ever could possess! Over time others "may" simulate the gift; sometimes others are "born" with it; however; there is a vast difference!!!
