I'm very happy with it so far. I've liked the D6 all these years, but I just wanted to see what other flavors were out there. I've got a sound in my head and I've yet to make it happen out loud :)
I put the Genera Dry heads on both of my snare drums! I liked it so much on the birch snare that I put another one on my Acrolite. I really love them, they've been a great fit.

I've been thinking of doing another one of those lately. I'm a little afraid of how the supply issues in the US would affect the ability to choose the right components. I might go peruse my local Micro Center and see if it'd be feasible. I've just gotta wait for the channel's bank account to rebound after purchasing a new recorder!

I would’ve done the EXACT same tests when adjusting and reviewing the mic for myself, but I wouldn’t have recorded it.

Very interesting kick mic. I also use a D6 and for me it's a pretty hard mic to beat for kick drums.

I know what you mean! I have a certain "flavor" of beater smack that I'm chasing. I'm looking forward to continued chasing of that imagined sound.
Did you ever try the Evans ST Dry head on the snare?
