Seeing the deleted scene of Michael talking to Astrid about his father really adds an extra layer of depth to that whole episode. Seeing the situation in this new light, that Michael just wanted Astrid to have a father figure in her life because he himself grew up without a father…it’s really quite a beautiful scene. I really wish the show would have delved deeper into Michael’s backstory.
Michael feels more of a connection to children because he’s a child at heart. They’re innocent and honest. Love unconditional (typically) while many adults lie or see the world without that spark of imagination.
It does not matter whose kid it is (including Toby's), Michael just knows how to take care of babies. What a pure soul. Couldn't even get himself to be mad at Cece.
Steve is just the best. No One, I repeat NO ONE could've played Michael Scott Better than Carell. It's so sweet. So Naive, So Pure. Just Lovely to see. :)

I have a couple of theories about Jan’s baby: 1) Even though Jan said her Astrid wasn’t Michael’s baby, she really was, and Jan simply didn’t want Michael in her life (oddly, Michael accepted her explanation without requesting a DNA test); 2) She sought out Hunter after she and Michael broke up and… you know (as Jake in “Two and a Half Men” would say). I give #1 credence because Kevin had a knack for having a sense about relationships, and it was he who alerted Michael to her pregnancy by saying “You’ve got to see this,” perhaps implying he was the baby daddy.

The fact that Jan didn’t let Michael hold Astrid was honestly pure evil. I get that she was having a hard time trusting him and all but she chose to go to the baby shower at Dunder Mifflin, she was still giving him orders (don’t date Holly), and she knew how much Michael loves kids and how excited he was to meet her baby. Evil. I really hated her more after this.

I was disappointed that the finale didn’t bring Holly back with their kids in tow, or at least they could have shown some of the photos that he kept on the two phones.
My heart genuinely went out to Michael when he's breaking down because he has to tell the kids he can't put them through college, i think he feels not only did he fail the kids he believes he failed himself as Michael's just a kid at heart
After seeing this i wish he got too see a small glimpse of his past as a kid too see how he grew up dont recall if they ever mentioned his parent's or had any siblings been long time since ive seen the show

It’s surprisingly uncreepy. This character is beautifully written and acted. Steve Carrell is a genius.
