This message holds especially true for me regarding shoes. I only buy quality pairs with good support. They are actually a better "value" as they last much, much longer than cheaper shoes while keeping my feet comfortable.
That is totally what I say on all of the comments. I refuse to even look at drug store videos. The amount of money I have blown on trying them wasn't worth it. Plus, a Dept store will always take back a product that has separated, even a wrong color. Quality in all things, food, clothing, make up, is always the least expensive in the long run, totally agree!
“buy once, cry once” is sometimes the way to go. (am building a home, and this phrase comes up a lot)
It’s important to remember that quality does not mean expensive - I buy high quality only second hand from thrift stores. This can’t always be done for make up or cosmetics and arguably it’s hard to find shoes secondhand. But high quality material clothing you can absolutely find secondhand without needing to find a low quality fast fashion dupe
Absolutely, I have some of the cheapest bedding that has lasted years with no colour fading. I have had too much expensive awful quality items I know look at the materials and cuts.
Buying cheap shoes, bags, and jewelry is a no 🤨. I love drugstore beauty and love saving money on great products at a lower price. Most brands are owned by the same companies, so expensive doesn't always = better 😉
Thank you for your videos - I had fallen off the wagon. But I now say to myself that “I’m too broke to buy cheap”… it helps stop impulse buys.
I have been looking for a long linen dress that could be worn casually and then dressed up for evenings. I thought I had found one…..my local store had the dress in another color so I tried it on to check the sizing and the slits. Both were great but the fabric quality wasn’t at the level I expected. So now I’m also too broke to settle even if it’s on sale! Thanks again!

This is so true! My weakness is shoes, but I've become way more discerning about the quality and fit. I used to buy them if they looked "cute" and served the purpose for the moment, but I realized I had to replace them way faster than just getting a better pair from the start.
Me too, I always buy good leather shoes and have bought the best French polishes and vintage shoe brushes etc when I see them. I look after my shoes and bags like babies!!! But they look good and last fir many seasons. Actually, I always look at men’s shoes and am impressed if they’re shined and polished. Tatty dirty shoes look even worse on men …. 😂😂😂

I dont think so, something expensive not always is better, and thats a mediocre thought, for example Baggu bags are meh but are made in China so whats the diference if i bought a dupe on temu?, and the same as luxury brands, why always we think like that? I prefer quality that bought only a thing because its expensive
Agree with most of you about SHOES. Very rarely you can buy quality shoes cheap. I once fell victim of cute cheap boots that gave me such awful blisters - I walked through tears and actually contemplated taking them off (and walking in socks in November in Russia!). So, never again I am risking my health by "saving" money on shoes that I threw away immediately after that incident.
For me, buying clothes at outlet stores, sorta a dupe. Better to save for the "real" item from the "real" store, IMO 😊
