  • Here we have 55KW fan in our process supplying air to the burning zone in prehaeating area. This fan was having 5.5mm/s vibration and it was showing it in 1X range. This was needing balancing. So we performed balancing and then vibration reduced to 1.5mm/s after balancing.

    Ohhhh my god. No need class room no need to study... I have studied in papers about phase and all. But just only one time man watched this video and understood total balancing and using micto log too. Who are you?.? You are not only a reliability engineer, but trainer, interested to teach..... super. My thanks and best wishes to your all videos..... many thanks

      velmurugan ezhumalai Thanks for your complement and great comment. I made the video as clear as I could do it. I would upload one more video on balancing and more videos on motor alignment. I already shot them and soon will upload them. Also will upload more on vibration analysis case studies.
      I am basically Electrical Engineer. I did work as Reliability Engineer. Now a days working both as Sr. Electrical Engineer and Reliability Engineer. That is great that you learned from my video and subscribed also. Regards and wish you good luck.

      Is it possible to explain the SKF microlog analyzer full details from the software installation to create equipment hierachy into system and downloading into microlog as trat it as fresh, new piece, nothing inside. And after collecting data how to upload to system and watch the spectrum in computer monitor ? Pls. I have microlog in our company, but people does not want to teach...........

      velmurugan ezhumalai Sure dear friend I have videos showing a lot of stuff among your questions. Only software installation is not covered as I didn't do it ever. I would upload the videos sequentially in future. Be in-touch. Regards,

    loverly job done :-))
    Its hard to dub your own videos after the event has passed, trying to remember what you did exactly, but it was very clear and noise free in the room you were in :-))
    So apart from the skf tool using the white line as an rpm pickup, it is also a timing pulse to start the capture of data for every revolution, and the maximum voltage of the vibration sensor can be tracked to a position after the synk point.
    So synk/strobe is 0 degrees and the speed is known then the rotation period can be calculated, the ratio of rotation period to vibration period point could be used to divide 360 degrees to tell you where it is.
    Sorry im rambling to myself while thinking out the basic idea lol.

      As I said before you have rock knowledge. Your understanding to the matter is awesomely great!
      Yes you are correct it is a bit difficult to dub and re-assemble the events again after passed but it was necessary as it was very noisy there where I was filming in real situation. Also the camera in my hand was a poor quality one. But I am sure What I did, would be enough to give understanding to a person working on such a job.

      There is nothing wrong with your video, the picture quality is plenty good enough to see what is happening, your commentry made everything clear :-)
      My knowledge is only basic, i also forget things over the years so its allways great to have the memory refreshed by your smashing videos :-))
      Im one of those odd people that found learning from school or text books almost impossible, it made no sense to me, i needed to physically take things apart and learn from reality, just an odd sort of brain i suppose, thats me "Odd" ha ha :-))

    Sir, For 210Kg ,700 dia flywheel rotating for 4000 rpm , dynamic balance report says R1=0.49 grams,R2= 0.51 grams ,before it was R1=40 grams,R2=50grams and vibration value is less than 2.61 R1,R2 is it acceptable

    • @LastBlade

      You are right, you must remove the trial weight. But there are several instruments that provide the option of not removing trial weight. So the position of correction weight will be different. Trial weight should be removed

    The test weight you place counting in favor of the rotation rotation or against

    • @JahanZeb1976
      @JahanZeb1976  6 лет назад

      +Efrain Castillo Garcia every weight, trial or test and correction, degree is counted opposite the direction of rotation. The test weigh one can fix anywhere of any grams size. The obvious angles are off course 0 and 180. The weight is estimation for small fan small weight and for big fan big weight. Hope you understand.

  • @benkohkh
    @benkohkh Год назад

    When adding the weight, do you also consider the weight from the weldment?

    • @JahanZeb1976
      @JahanZeb1976  Год назад +1

      Yes, it should be considered for small fans where you need a few grams of trial and correction weight. An estimation can do. For bigger fans where kgs of weight you need to balance, a few grams of welding wouldn't effect much.

  • @ffrosttt

    amp. increasing when i apply correction weight on the counter rotation, is there a setting for that? There is a problem on my microlog but i don't know where...

    • @JahanZeb1976
      @JahanZeb1976  8 лет назад +1

      +ffrosttt Dear friend there is a setting in the subject microlog while you are starting balancing or when you enter to the device setup screen. Just search it and it is stating whether you will apply balancing weights in the direction of rotation or opposite the direction of rotation. I am always keeping that setting in the opposite the direction of rotation not to put my self in error and to bring symmetry in work.
      Another thing is sometimes with the proper setup even you will encounter the problematic situation where you will not be able to overcome on vibration even with proper weight and proper angle. There are so many parameters in such situation. Your experience and skill is the key to solve such a problem in such difficult situation.

    • @ffrosttt
      @ffrosttt 8 лет назад +1

      +LearningZone thanks for quick reply, i'll look for setting, what are the parameters that effects balancing procedure? I tried and failed on a fan 1860 rpm, 32 mm/sn amp. with a huge motor, i did everthing just like written on the book but in the end ampitude increased, any quick advise for my case? Thanks again for the great videos and instructions...

    • @JahanZeb1976
      @JahanZeb1976  8 лет назад +1

      +ffrosttt Dear friend if your fan is not responding to balancing, repeat clean balancing from begging. If you balance fans in routine and did many balancing jobs successfully in past with great results then there could be some other problem with the fan giving 1X vibration like looseness, bent shaft, bearing or any other possible reason. Check for every thing. If you are beginner in the field of balancing then check your procedure for any mistake. Sometimes we are making a mistake which are leading us to failure. Hope you will do it good. Share your results and success with us. Regards,

      Trial weight is all your experience with fans. After little experience you know how much trial weight do you need for what size, kind and speed of motor. The you keep a record for particular fans around you. Hope you understood the idea. Stay tuned.
