    I would be lost without your videos. My Teacher gives my no practise figures or warmups
    to go on with between lessons. Thank you so much for helping my plan my own training regime.

      YOU WROTE,"My Teacher gives my no practice figures or warmups" of course not, the teacher wants to sell more lessons; with RUclips, there are so many helpful training videos to assist you, Bill Davies said, you are your best teacher.

    is it true that the male leads and the female follows?

    • @EgilsSmagris
      @EgilsSmagris  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks Efreet for your question. Yes that’s true principle, Man leads and Lady follows.

    The man starts with left and not right??

    • @EgilsSmagris
      @EgilsSmagris  5 лет назад

      Yes, Man starts Quickstep with Right Foot. In Social Foxtrot which is similar, Man starts with left foot.

      @@EgilsSmagris ok. Thats strange. I'm in a dancing course and we learned to start with left (Quickstep) Maybe we learn it wrong

    • @EgilsSmagris
      @EgilsSmagris  5 лет назад

      I would teach Quickstep for beginners starting with Right foot (Man). Structure is slow step with RF forward, then Chasse to side QQS; continue with RF back (S) and Chasse to side. Later one can add in beginning preparation step with left foot (S)

    Dear Egils! Could you tell the reason for pulling the heel when moving backwards in lock-step? Do we have to do it twice (beginning of the figure+when crossing the feet)?

    • @EgilsSmagris
      @EgilsSmagris  6 лет назад +1

      наталия, thanks for your question. I think reason for releasing front foot toe from the floor in second step is better control of movement. Some technique books allow Man to use also different technique - in second step draw front toe. In first step releasing front toe is just normal technique for backward step. Hope it helps. Egils
