    why are these called the "Plain Top" ? is there no carved maple cap on the top ? Thanks

    • @emartinezr
      @emartinezr 21 день назад +1

      The plain tops do not show the wood grain in the maple cap. They have a maple cap, the paint just doesn't let the grain show.There's other custom colors that show the wood grain; such as Fuschia, Blueberry burst, Cherry, Honey burst, etc.

    Got this guitar yesterday (ordered it here in Russia and waited for ship more than one month). Never bought me new expensive guitars, just time ago owned few sgs and lp standard 86'.
    This my new 2023 green one... has horribly made fretboard - just couldnt believe my eyes - some scratchy frests, unevenly rubbed binding, and lots of cracks on rosewood or even misses small layers of wood near some frets. And nut is cracked on one side.
    All seemed it was a mad evil pinokkio who desecrated it with the hammer. My friends laughed so much - "What did you expect, thats a Gibson , man )))"
    Also I wanted heavy les Paul (4.5kg maybe) but my is only - 4.1. One guy that I know owns standard 50s goldtop 2021 and his guitar is perfectly built, great cosmetics and weights 4.5. I'm pulling off my hairs for not buying it from him and chasing after ordering that shitty green 2023. Just had no luck for lot of money (3000$ and in my country dollars are twice more expensive than in many other))).
    As for sound - well, maybe it' nice for what it was made for , but someday i'll put here some old trusty 498t/490r for more generic rock/metal gain and frequences. Playability is good though. And wife said - don't be so depressed, it sounds better than your previous ones )
