Kyle Gallner (Outsiders, Smallville) and Sosie Bacon (13 Reasons Why) join me this week to talk about the genius of their new horror film SMILE and what went into the project to get it bumped into theaters from its streaming origins. On top of talking about the twists and turns on and off the screen with Smile, Kyle and Sosie talks about what sorts of insecurities and nerves they carry with them going into every role. Sosie clears up misconceptions about her parents’ (Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick) role in her desire to become an actor and what it was like growing up with negative influences in Manhattan. Kyle shares his suburban bad boy roots and talks about how the stigma around actors performing in horror roles has been obliterated nowadays.

SOSIE BACON Clears Misconceptions of Her Parents and Acting Career #insideofyou #kevinbacon - Развлечения
Sosie was in one of Kevin's movies when she was 13. And she was in The Closer in 2009 when she was about 16.
Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgewick are very underated actors.
Kevin was fantastic in all of his parts. My fav was Flatliners.
Kyra, I loved in Something to talk about.
I love that they are down to earth and raised their children in a grounded lifestyle.
Kudos, bigtime to them.
2 of the biggest names in Hollywood are underrated? L
Was she aound celebrities...of course she wasn't. She was separated from them...by at least six degrees
Six degrees can cook bacon, just at a slower rate.
Lol I see what you did there
🤣🤣🤣 I see what you did there
Lol nice one!
Her parents let her be her own person, and let her talent speak for itself in whatever she did, that's awesome tbh. SMILE is a great movie, and she is incredible in it
I watched Smile a few weeks ago, and I LOVED Sosie, she was amazing! The whole movie I kept on saying, I love her acting!!!
Sosie's mannerisms when she said no reminded me of Kevin in some interviews.
And I think this is an interesting topic, especially when speaking to the children of "down to earth" celebrities.
Kevin seems like a cool guy .
@@matthewschwartz6607 Yea he does. I'm sure he is a chill guy in person
She looks a lot like her dad too.
What’s up with the tattoos?
Yep.
She sure looks like her dad, especially when she smiles.
It’s good that Sosie’s parents let her make her own mind up about being an actor, being coerced into something or saying you can’t do something doesn’t always end well 😊
She’s TATTOOED?
I've seen a number of interviews where actors said that they strongly advised their children to NOT become actors.
@James Alexander - Who is she?
It's now a Rite of Passage in the most nepotistic business in the world, recycle the wealth? They get led by the hand.
@@matthewschwartz6607 EXACTLY no one has heard of her,Conley her connections! It's an insult to our intelligence, it's Nepotism pure and simple. Had she not famous parents, she'd never be given the time of day. The entertainment industry are now keeping the wealth firmly circulating amongst themselves and their own families, that's why there's no good movies or striking talent anymore, it's stale as new Unconnected talent isn't getting a chance..
She's got the coolest parent combo in Hollywood. No question.
Smile is so terrific, and she is a PHENOMENAL actress.
The whole movie I was sitting in the theater trying to figure out who she looked like, and then after the movie it dawned on me - she looks like Kyra Sedgwick because that’s her mom! 😂
I think she's a blend of both her parents, I can see them both in her.
Btw, any relation to them yourself? I noticed your surname. 🤔🤷🏻♀️
She doesn’t look like Kyra, is much more masculine looking.
Sosie has the same exact nose as her dad! She is a very talented actress and also has a beautiful singing voice. I was pleasantly surprised with how good her recent horror film called, “Smile” was. Initially I thought it was going to end up really bad like “Truth or Dare” (the one with Lucy Hale) was, especially since it both involves the weird smile. The different with “Smile” though is that the creepy smiles in that movie is not CGI and exaggerated. It just has a smile that gets creepier the more you see it especially since their eyes are just empty with no emotion. The film kind of gave me a similar uneasiness that “It Follows” did, which is also a GREAT horror film as well.
I can see both parents in her.
It follows didn't stick the landing
I loved her at 17(?) on "The Closer" playing her Mom's real life Mom Kyra Sedgwick 's daughter. Long time fan of her parents, both Kyra and Kevin Bacon. Very natural in the role, btw.
Sosie!! You're an amazing actor!!! SMILE shown how brilliant you are and more............ 👏👏💕💕👏👏
I beyond love Kevin Bacon, my favourite,
Wow to have this father. And I loved her mother too, amazing
looks like Sosie smoked some of the "relax" before the interview.
She looks just like her Dad.❤
She’s an amazing actor. Smile is my favorite horror movie currently and she deserves an Oscar for that performance
Me too, Smile was a breath of fresh air, truly scary and disturbing film and Sosie played the character of Rose so well, that you sympathize and empathize with her and want her to survive and that's how you make a decent horror film. Nicely, well fucking done director Parker Finn. I can't wait for the sequel.
I feel like Sosie Bacon would be a great fit in a Jim Jarmuch film.
First she’s gonna need to write poetry about why the dead don’t die, make coffee and light a cigar with blue matches all the while driving a public bus for a week.
Jim is due for a new film too
"Like.......like.......like......like"
Ok but those F13 effects were practical
This movie is soo cool
I named my cat Sosie Bacon because I love the name.
Just once I'd like to hear that a child of a star became an accountant, lawyer, anything but showbiz.
Most of them do. Which is why you don’t hear about them.
It's weird when she says NYC is not the best place to be. But a lot of movies are set in NYC. Just wondering as an outsider.
...yeah but they are still often produced out of LA. In NYC you can see mid-range movie stars in the local bakery or coffee shop and nobody blinks an eye because it's not cool to hassle them. An old friend of mine would bump into Meryl Streep and a few others at the local PTA-type school meetings. In LA the so-called stars are built up to be larger than life, generally speaking in NYC the city is larger than any one person.
@@cspace1234nz ok. Noted.
A wee bit of nepotism, but she needs to help the family recoup some of that Madoff money.
She was saying that acting isn’t as celebrated in new york as it is in los angeles. It wasn’t a negative or a positive.
I think the difference is that LA makes famous people (i.e. movie and tv stars) whereas the East Coast actors are more work focused on the craft and the working class aspect of it - getting up at 5am, working 12+ hours a day, etc. I'd put Meryl, Kevin, Kyra, Joanne Woodward, Blythe Danner in this camp. The Actors Studio, Julliard, Yale and Carnegie-Mellon don't have a West Coast equivalent.
She actually say "Great CG on that one." As in CGI? Tom Savini Disapproves
It was an arrow head.
Wish I had a dollar for every time she said ...like....
Never tried sosie bacon 🥓 😅
....well Sosie pigs are very rare so it's not surprising. The chops are amazing !
Bruh.
Nice
Sosie's Bacon number is -1
That was alot of 'like's
"Like"
It was an arrow through the neck
Can she say “like” a few more times.
Her parents wanted her life to be fulfilled and not Hollow, man!
Funny, I only see Kevin Bacon in her not Kyra.
That’s why she can act. Her parents love each other and love their family. Makes a helluva difference from the Toxic Smiths.
I always thought her father is Josh Brolin then youtube recommend me this.😂
I still think she looks like Josh Brolin every time I see a clip of her, even knowing who her parents are.
Maybe Kevin doesn't know about Josh dipping into his wife's Bacon..?
Like they didn't like teach you like how to speak like properly so someone like might like how you speak?
I’d invest in elocution lessons, if such a thing anymore.
Found the incel.
😅
Howard Stern I wouldnt think of him as a celebrity.. Your parents are celebrities..
You also saw the wealth of it many perks I hate when the Hollywood people whine you don't want to be an actor do you want me to he's having enough money to live a lifetime get out can't feel sorry for you your parents are rich and now you're a movie star just like the rest of the movie star kids
Speaking of Kevin Bacon, with the ongoing KETO Carnivore craze that's sweeping the nation, wouldn't it be appropriate if Hollywood were to remake "The Odd Couple," starring Kevin Bacon and Jon Hamm, with some of the music for the soundtrack done by T Bone Burnett?
The odd couple?
Bacon and ham come from the same animal, dummy.
Stop trying to be funny. You’re not.
@@justincoleman3805 Whatever. That's your opinion. That being said, going forward, I'm muting you from being able to respond. Adios.
But what did she think about him getting kidnapped by the Guardians of the galaxy?
These young people can’t talk without using the word “like.”
Old people can’t stop saying “these young people.”
Like…dislike.
What's with all the "like"s. Annoying.
I know. 🤦♂️ We just have to learn to live with it.
It's low IQ and/or poor schooling.
Jesus. She looks just like her dad
So Kevin Bacon's daughter is Edie Brickell??.. 🤔
Love the reference. Love Circle of friends By Edie.
She does look a bit bohemian.
Sosie?
Zzzzzzzz
Is nepotism now the norm in Hollywood?
Always
Now? Are talkies new to you?
Why wouldn't parents open doors for their kids? I don't think you know what nepotism is.
Neee..po...tism
He should shave his head man.
like entitled like once....
Imagine if she married s man named Eggs
Tattoos yuck
such a pretty girl, then goes and covers herself in tatoos. Tats to me are cool if hidden but just all over her arms. There just aren't many ladies anymore
I wouldn’t call that “covered” but to each their own.
Immediate turn-off
She's going to be absolutely gutted when she reads this. You were her perfect man and she doesn't have a chance now because of the ink.
@@umpus please, break it to her gently.
If 2 or 3 small, basic tattoos on the arms are enough to make a girl not a "lady" to you, I imagine you don't hang around with many.
Sorry, have never heard of her! It's an insult to our intelligence, it's Nepotism pure and simple. Had she not famous parents, she'd never be given the time of day. The entertainment industry are now keeping the wealth firmly circulating amongst themselves and their own families, that's why there's no good movies or striking talent anymore, it's stale as new Unconnected talent isn't getting a chance. Sick of hearing the same story from every led by the hand because of famous parents, offspring who blest, we got no help to become wealthy in this line of work. Y
That's the way the world has always been champ. Unless the person is a supreme genius level talent they are not going to get more opportunities over the children of Hollywood stars.
Love her parents. I'm sad they didn't teach her how lousy those tattoos would look.
Nah - they're an "old creep repellent" so that's good.
More like anyone with a future repellent. Who the hell puts a bumper sticker on a Ferrari?
@@farmerbill6855 its not your body.Shes free to do as she wishes with her body.
And I'm free to comment as I wish. Isn't it a beautiful world? I'm not singling her out, they'd look like hell on anyone.
@@farmerbill6855 who gives a shit what you think.
Clean up your behaviour ...would be great
One more like Sosie give us just one more like.
Good thing there is no drinking game for every time she says the word "like". Lovely young woman, but using the word "like" every other moment is off putting.
Her energy is kinda meh.
