I'm currently on my 8th Doberman Pinscher since 1978...... Best breed ever & smartest breed I've ever trained..... I've owned 8 Dobies, 3 GSD's, 3 Labs, & several mutts & by far Dobies are hands down best breed to me...... Love❤️them!
I was lucky enough to own & be owned by a Dobie, and she was the greatest. I'm to old to properly exercise one now, but I still melt everytime I see one. They are so sweet, smart & loyal.
Dobermans are quite easy to train but it takes work & be the boss! Cinnamon was a red Doberman at 120 pounds. The only thing that made her truly mad were cats & intruders .
Please do a Doglopedia of Boxer, In my family we adopted a 7 years boxer;rescued from the street. And I like to know more about this breed. :) Thanks....
I have a doberman and she's the sweetest thing ever, and to everyone. You just have to make sure that you socialize them young and treat them right is all. It always upsets me when people say oh dobermans are aggressive and terrible dogs because they aren't. It's just like pit bulls its not the dogs fault it's the owners.
I agree, I personally think they're adorable naturally! The only thing is, a lot of breeders or people selling dobermans dock their tails and crop their ears before you even adopt them.
Also when people think cropped ears and tail they think doberman, the natural dobe look looks more like a hound. But it's to each their own. I got mine done and now she loves her ears being played with haha
no they are not dobermans are protective and loyal and totaly friendly it only debends on how the owner trains then ,if a doberman is agressive it is the owner's fault because he didn't train it to socialize from a younger age
A few errors. They displayed a Great Dane Silhouette instead of a Dobe, spelled Dobermann incorrectly, described the breed as "fairly healthy", and didnt emphasize the breeds high energy quite enough. Other than that, the rest seemed pretty accurate.
+ aelegent..... The dog, the breed - is named after the man - his name is spelt with two "N", how much room for compromise does that leave? There are at least 4 ways to spell 'George', if my name were Jorge - I'm not going to be real happy if you spelled it any way other than the way I did. You can't go around changing a persons name because you are too lazy to add the second 'N'.
Also note that some countries have laws banning these practices idk whats wrong with the US in this as well as many other respects to human and animal rights.
My judgement is based on whether or not it is moral to cut off certain body parts of a dog. Understand? It is not an aesthetic argument it is a moral one.
Well I disagree that a dogs personality isnt going to change. Who knows what kind of trauma is inflicted upon their developing minds when their ears and tail are cut. I would also like to mention that some people (improperly) try to do this on their own and the results can be terrible. But I do agree that a dog should be loved no matter what they look like. I just want to increase the awareness of this horrible practice and hopefully bring it to an end one day.
hell yea there good dogs , we feed it chicken bones and stuff but you have to hold them tight, and i must say bein such a small dog he can sure as hell eat food.. its kinda weird he is only 9 weeks old but he can chop down a foot long sub in no time flat, i mean he just loves it to death. everytime i eat he gets some of whatever i eat lol.
+Sondra Dankert ... maybe by the standards of today, but then, the average person today doesn't know much of anything about dogs. Until a dog gets over 100 - 120 lbs, I think of it as medium. Just because Dobermanns can be 27 1/2 inches at the shoulder doesn't mean they all are that tall. Since the Dobermann is lean, muscular and tall - doesn't make them any larger than a Retriever, Shepard or other common house dog. That's the best thing about Dobermanns... they are one of the few working breeds who can be trusted, can adapt to living inside, near their people, without having to vacuum the house twice a day.
I think the ear cropping gives them an unnatural mean look which i dont like. Hopefully when I plan on getting a doberman I can find a natural one. Thanks for being compassionate :)
The original look of the Dobermann was cropped and docked. Breeders that still crop and dock are just keeping the creator of the breed's dream alive, rather rude not to in my eyes. He created the breed to have the signature look and spent a large portion of his life achieving that, his dreams and goals shouldn't be thrown away just because a couple people don't agree with it.
+Nea Nea That's not very true. They claim to keep the creator's dream alive, but then why are the dogs different from what they looked like when they were created? Why is the American standard different from the German standard, even though the dog originated in Germany? Because they wanted what they thought the dog should look like, not what the creator wanted.
The Doberman is a wonderful dog but are acctualy not so easy to train at first. They are stuborn and mishevious puppies, this later turns into that famous obediance.
I understand the ears, but why the tail, I know Rottweilers used to get the tail cropped because they were pack dogs, made for pulling stuff, but why the Doberman? Btw, how much exercise and food do they need?
mine dont eat that much really. and she is not as skinny as she could have been hehe. hour a day they need. but at least mine is calm when she needs to be. people always telling me how great she is hehe
There are plenty blues out there. However people should know that blue is actually the name for the fawn and the dark gray. The gray Doberman is a result of a Weimar. They look like gray dust was brushed on a black dobbie. The dawn or light blue is pretty too. I’ve seen a nice amount lately
ATTENTION ALL DOBERMAN LOVERS! please stop cutting off these beautiful dogs ears and tails! they have naturally beautiful long ears and tails many people think the short ears and tails are natural but they arent. this is a horrible practice that needs to be stopped!
WOW thx for tge infoemation about the doberman... is it neccesary to bring them out side evdrday? BEcause our dog is doberman and .... we dint have ebough space. -.-
How can I give this dog the exercise it needs when I cannot let it off the leash? I love the breed and have decided it is perfect for me. But, the exercise will be very hard for me to fulfill. I will search for dog runs, but they are few and far between.
You can, just in fenced areas. I don't know what country you are in, but here in the US, it is illegal to have your dog off leash not to mention dangerous as they can be hit by a car or any number of things.
These dogs are prone to brain swelling that sometimes makes them aggressive AKA I 'm not calling them aggressive besides it's not their faults if they are.
LarryRickenbacker But just imagine if every time you got excited. Your brain hurt so much it because it was swelling, and bumping against *Your* skull. Because it' was too small. (*skull*) not brain. Thats what i'm saying they could be great companions. IdK i'have never met one. Just saying what i've heard to get it. Up in the air!
Dobes do not come in "black and tan"....it's "black and rust" Whenever I see this in and add for puppies, I know the "breeder" isn't educated about Dobermans.
Not only does it have no negative affects (the entire process is neutral, no proven pros or cons to cropping/docking OR leaving natural) it also keeps Mr. Dobermann dream and entire life goal alive. His purpose in life shouldn't be thrown away because a couple people dont agree.
Times change and dobermans are not used like before. Ear and tail docking is abuse and has always been. A dog use tail and ears to communicate with other dogs, it´s humans who have the need to make dream design dogs or crop tails and ears. It doesn´t hurt the dog? It does, amputating bodyparts hurts.
***** Spaying/neutering causes the dog more pain and multiple studies conducted by veterinarians have shown it has negative affects on the dog's health(I can link you one if you'd like), nobody complains about it. With cropping dogs are up and running and playing right after they get home, have no negative affects to their health, and there is 0 proof that it affects their ability to communicate. I know 50 or so dogs that are cropped and/or docked (I own a docked dog myself) and out of all that I know none have issues communicating with other animals. All are well rounded, loved, and well cared for members of the family.
I guess we will never agree, but I do appreciate your comment being nice and not nasty. :) My dog was hyper sexual with no sleep or eating when the females where in heat. He is more calm now and can live life like any other dog, without the urge to hump everything in his way. We waited a long time before doing this. Operations are never fun and I think that it´s a thing you do only if you are forced to.
Our red Doberman is the most affectionate breed I've had the pleasure to own. Talk about obedient!
Mine is not obedient at all, tries to challenge me a lot and he’s been trough $2k obedience training.
I'm currently on my 8th Doberman Pinscher since 1978...... Best breed ever & smartest breed I've ever trained..... I've owned 8 Dobies, 3 GSD's, 3 Labs, & several mutts & by far Dobies are hands down best breed to me...... Love❤️them!
Lol the dog that was supposed to be "talking" was actually a female
😂
And they have Brooklyn accents. I say this with affection because he sounds like my husband. :D
I was lucky enough to own & be owned by a Dobie, and she was the greatest. I'm to old to properly exercise one now, but I still melt everytime I see one. They are so sweet, smart & loyal.
Frank Lopez
Wow :(
Why does the dog sound like he's from New York?
They talk back to you as well.
Very needy😂😂😂😂
Dobermans are quite easy to train but it takes work & be the boss! Cinnamon was a red Doberman at 120 pounds. The only thing that made her truly mad were cats & intruders .
Please do a Doglopedia of Boxer,
In my family we adopted a 7 years boxer;rescued from the street. And I like to know more about this breed. :)

0:33 it says a dog talks into a bar when it's supposed to be walks into a bar lol

that was cute, and i didnt know that about Germany. if i ever have a house i will consider having this one as a pet =)
Make a doglopedia rottweilers
A few errors. They displayed a Great Dane Silhouette instead of a Dobe, spelled Dobermann incorrectly, described the breed as "fairly healthy", and didnt emphasize the breeds high energy quite enough. Other than that, the rest seemed pretty accurate.
it's both spellings double N and single N
+ aelegent..... The dog, the breed - is named after the man - his name is spelt with two "N", how much room for compromise does that leave?
There are at least 4 ways to spell 'George', if my name were Jorge - I'm not going to be real happy if you spelled it any way other than the way I did. You can't go around changing a persons name because you are too lazy to add the second 'N'.
What?!? None of my Dobermans ever talked.
Also note that some countries have laws banning these practices idk whats wrong with the US in this as well as many other respects to human and animal rights.

Um... last time I checked a 70-90lb dog is DEFINITELY a large breed?
+Sondra Dankert ... maybe by the standards of today, but then, the average person today doesn't know much of anything about dogs. Until a dog gets over 100 - 120 lbs, I think of it as medium.

too bad they use a dog with cropped ears in this video. In the Netherlands cropping ears and docking tails is illegal
Cool
The original look of the Dobermann was cropped and docked. Breeders that still crop and dock are just keeping the creator of the breed's dream alive, rather rude not to in my eyes. Nea Nea Seems fair, as good as they don't feel pain during the process
If you don't like it, don't watch the video. Probably one of those people who confront others who have cropped or docked dogs
How tf you just invent a new dog?
Isn't a rural home the ideal home for every dog? Ideally every dog would have a wide area in which to exercise with the safety of fences...
therebinthe mist kangals and Caucasian shepherds are not good for a rural environment
Blue one , with a tail
That happens in a lot of their vids! like the mastiff one! I don't get it!
The Doberman is a wonderful dog but are acctualy not so easy to train at first. They are stuborn and mishevious puppies, this later turns into that famous obediance.
Gabrielle Walter ppl can say that about Golden’s (which I use to breed) too
the end was funny...
I understand the ears, but why the tail, I know Rottweilers used to get the tail cropped because they were pack dogs, made for pulling stuff, but why the Doberman?

mine dont eat that much really. and she is not as skinny as she could have been hehe. hour a day they need. but at least mine is calm when she needs to be. people always telling me how great she is hehe
cool !
Since when do you find a BLUE dog?
oh god
I'm really not sure. But you can find a lot of blue cats out there.
It's rare to find that in a Doberman, but it's possible.
There are plenty blues out there. However people should know that blue is actually the name for the fawn and the dark gray. The gray Doberman is a result of a Weimar. They look like gray dust was brushed on a black dobbie. The dawn or light blue is pretty too. I’ve seen a nice amount lately

Kathrine Smith It's not true.
Leverquin Tell me why it's *not* true then.
Doberman is a medium sized dog?
+shiva nagireddy you have 3 sizes check GOOGLE :D
there are NOT 3 sizes. There is only one standard for a Doberman- it varies a bit between American and European lines.
Yes because you have to remember the full scope of dogs out there and they are lanky more than anything.
Border Collie, Please!
Cool I was attacked by one for walking past the dogs home

Dobes do not come in "black and tan"....it's "black and rust" Whenever I see this in and add for puppies, I know the "breeder" isn't educated about Dobermans.
They actually do come in black and tan also. Although I hate the color, I prefer rust. Usually you'll see black and tan in American bred Dobermans.
I hate cropped ears! I dont understand why this is still legal! Let them Keep tail and ears.
It doesn't hurt the dog or affect them in a negative way. Tail docking can keep the tail from being injured in work
Not only does it have no negative affects (the entire process is neutral, no proven pros or cons to cropping/docking OR leaving natural) it also keeps Mr. Dobermann dream and entire life goal alive. His purpose in life shouldn't be thrown away because a couple people dont agree.
