BMW i8 Roadster Vs Coupe! | What's The Difference?

- I have had my 2015 BMW i8 for over a year and a half now, and BMW just debuted a roadster version of the car! Getting to see it for the first time at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show, I was very interested to see all the differences between the new roadster and the coupe! Which one would you rather get?

I personally don't care for owning an i8. Seeing them on the road is awesome tho. I'd have to go with the coupe for the price lol
will there be a hardtop version for the roadster? can't stand softtops convertibles, made the car looks cheap

How much longer on your lease? If I were you I’d would want to see how the 8 Series turns out
another half year. I saw some leaked pics of the 8 series and was very unimpressed...I loved the way the concept looked in person.

This is THE next investment car only 2500 made. It is the next SLS or Z8 - both were discounted 30% (2003/2012) as is the Roadster, and both are now well over list price - 20-25 yrs from now Mint I8 ROADSTER will be $250,000 and COUPE $175,000
Sorry, soft top? No! A knife and you are in. Wind noise. Hold off until hardtop convertible or get the coupe when it reaches $35 in 2 years.
This is random but I wonder why a BMW i8 & AUDI R8 have a “8” in the end.. 🤔
Maruf2021 I think the R8 is because it had 8 cylinders originally
R8 was the name of a LeMans Prototype car made in 2000 that won LeMans 5 times.
It seems like "8" is a common number for the more range topping models? haha

Tesla is a better buy and more practical but not as good looking inside. These are way over priced but the i8 name alone is enough to sell to trendies.
They should make one that’s actually fast
was never the primary purpose of the i8 to be fast. it's a technology showcase vehicle

The i8 is an overpriced luxury Prius. I don’t get how there’s a market for this car or how they get any sales from these things. Completely undesirable car
yes, oftentimes I pull up next to a prius, and just think to myself "why didnt I just get one of those"
