Thanks for your review. How is the radio reception on fm? I watched another youtube video on the Maverick & it said the radio reception was not very good. On my 600 mile trips to Wisconsin from Ohio I have the fm stations pretty well mapped out & use my mp3's on shuffle/random to fill in the gaps. I know that sounds like minor issues but when you're in a truck for 11 hours on a trip I will probably get pretty frustrated if the FM reception doesn't work very good or the MP3 won't play shuffle or random without issues of locking up like you said in your video. Thanks for any input you can give.

I’m enjoying the video. Ordered a XL hybrid. There’s an option for changing to the 2.0 but still they say I might not get it.

I was going to get the hybrid but I wanted AWD, so that forced me to the 2.0. Hopefully they get an AWD in hybrid in a few years, might have to look into that.

2 months in on my hybrid Lariat Mav here - also velocity blue. No issues with sync 3. Took a trip from Michigan to Florida in the first week. Loving how well the copilot 360 steers you down a road with good lines, plus makes stop and go much more tolerable. I find the seats to be better than you described. Stopping for a few minutes every couple of hours may help? Rolling down the window a bit when closing the door on a running vehicle may help the door close issue - while the door seals break in? Liked the views in your video. Enjoy!

Great points about the 360. I may do a video specific to that eventually but the 360 is a huge step-up from what I have had to drive for the past several years. A 2003 Ford Ranger has no options. :-) The door issue is the latch itself, it is off by a tiny bit so I am sure it is an easy adjustment. I read a bit more about Sync. The Lariat edition has Sync 3. The XLT has the software to use your phone, but it is not a true Sync system, more like pieces of Sync. My guess is there is a software update that will help. Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching!

My Maverick is the XLT/AWD with the luxury package. I ordered it on 10/25/21, it arrived at the dealership on 10/25/22. So exactly 365 days from order to arrival.

Great video! Our 2020 Escape had a similar door fitment issue, on the passenger front. Never would shut all the way without some force. Dealer ended up finding a faulty latch from when it was originally built and installed a new one, been good since. I've heard a lot of comments about the glitchy sync system in the mavericks, kinda disappointing but hopefully they will eventually come out with a software update to solve that. I finally have a VIN and a tentative build date for my maverick so the nearly year as of now wait might have a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

I suspect the Sync system needs updated, it's still sort of a turd. Congratulations on the VIN - it is getting closer!

If they added 4" to the bed length, we could get our saw stands in there........

I went from a 6' bed in my old Ranger to the shorter bed in the Maverick. I've already ran into a few issues in hauling materials. We will see long term how this works out. I don't want a trailer, but we will see. Thanks for watching!

Anything over 25mpg sounds good as gas is not the most important thing.

Thanks for watching. I just checked my mileage on a short trip about 45 miles away and got 31 MPG. I'm more than satisfied with the economy of this truck.
