For those who find this video you can by some b grade superwide that Ben calls hot garbage from yoyofactory every may during there A-May-Zing sale for like 5 bucks. Apparently the post seat is super weak and can strip easily but it’s neat and the only way to find one now other than a BST post.
@@Chagenmelon678 pretty easy. Ben from yoyo factory breaks one by hand every year on stream then tells us not to buy them but I do every year and usually strip it before next may lol. if you get a longer post (axle), a better bearing, and swap out the old crusty response pads (I think they are like an insert so normal pads don't fit great, but you can flow silicone or cram a pad in I've done both) Then the yoyo plays pretty decent and can last a good while. Just try not to unscrew it very often after the upgrades. also, cleanup the yoyo they have been in a box for over a decade, so they are dusty, and the bearing had a bunch of factory lube in it from the manufacture that is all over the bearing seat. If you have one with marker or other marks a bit of rubbing alcohol can easily remove it. or just polish the thing up and make it look really cool. These are like factory rejects that are truly rejects unlike some of the b grades sold on a mayzing every year for yoyo factory so they are in rough shape and low quality but if you are gentle and upgrade a few parts they can be a decent throw and are cheap. At this point its not even re couping cost for Ben and yoyo factory team its just claiming storage space back by trying to get ride of them lol.
note the post is a larger diameter than the standard today so you would have to take it to a local shop like a Home Depot or something and find something that matches the thread and size. Easy enough to just bring the yoyo disassembled and find something that's close enough of a match that's longer than what's installed. I got a bunch of them one year but had to cut them down to size.
I remember Yoyofactory started pumping these bgrade ones out for 5 bucks, they had a live stream where they pulled out a bunch of em in a box with like a pound of dust
