Something people hardly ever comment on reactions to Nanowar is how good the music actually is! I know the funny (and still clever) lyrics and looks draw most of the attention on their videos, that it's usual not to notice how talented they are as musicians.
Pleasure is multilayered indeed. I’m not a native English speaker myself and honestly I’m no the type of listener that cares much about the lyrics as longs they’re there and music is good. So with Nanowar if you’re not paying attention to the goofy lyrics, music is amazing. It is obvious that they know and love what they’re doing. Even though the lyrical content pokes fun at the overly seriousness and epicness of the euro power metal, the music is a 100% tribute

I love to think they made this song explicitly for Montelago (where they recorded this clip). A 3-days festival with around 10k partecipants in August where the only showers are dangling pipes on a rope

I love both versions. As a German I must say: they pulled off the German version really, really. well. I think that is Gatto sininging in that one? :D He is a great singer, too. Seems like they are all great singers. :D

Hey guys, I'd like to point out some crazy new stuff for you to react to. I just stumbled across a band called Nekrogoblikon, and gave their rendition of "Chop Suey" (yup, the SoaD song) a shot. I wasn't disappointed! Actually I had some really good laughs and I think you might, too. I'll definitely go down that rabbit hole now, if I find other nice songs by them I'll post them here.
