I have them on my calendar now because there are so many, paper bin every second Thursday, plastic bin every second Tuesday, general waste bin once a mon... shite! I've forgot to put the bins out. Bollocks.
This is in a similar tangent to the "Kill Them" sketches; a recurring joke where the humour is less derived of the situation, but rather from the subversion of expectations. However, where "Kill them" is positive and goes dark at the end, this starts negative and goes much lighter.
When Armstrong says “Nathaniel! Your daughter’s took ill” he sounds a lot like Laurence Rickard from horrible histories, and this combined with the fact that several actors from that series have appeared in sketches in this made me think it actually was him until I saw it was not him and was actually Armstrong
How to tell the same joke a dozen times and it still be as funny the last time as the first. There are many many comics who would dearly love to possess that valuable skill. But then again not many of them wind up as quiz show hosts
I'd forgotten to put the bin out and I was running up the street in my PJs dragging the wheelie bin behind me shouting at the top of my voice and the truck stopped. I have never been so grateful for anything in my entire life.
I’ve gotta say “Up yours! I can go three months without putting the bins out before it becomes an issue, I normally have to pick crap up off the streets just to get my money’s worth!”
great stuff! thought the writers missed a trick with the son coming out sketch. son confesses to parents who turn out to be caring, loving and understanding about his sexuality. but then, choking over his tea, he confesses he forgot to take the bins out... followed by mayhem as his folks totally lose it, beat him over the head with inflatable goldfish and other comedy props!
@@DepakoteMeister That was my point. In humour, I do expect novelty. Sadly, once a style has shown itself to be successful, they do tend to thrash it to death.
@@PhilJonesIII Yet I found every one funny, because I couldn't tell when it was going to happen. Clearly, as originally shown would have been funnier (especially the first one shown).
Hugh M That's because it's compilation. Personally I found the juxtapostion of the same joke in contrasting situations made it even funnier, but I guess some miserable people feel compelled to spend their time and energy to complain (which is also funny!)
its a different type of narrative. if you know the twist/punchline the humour or thrill comes not from what will happen but how it will happen. like a bio pic you know where the famous person ends up but you still can enjoy the film because you get to see how they got there.
These sketches are so good, I could spend all day just...
Oh damn. I forgot to put the bins out.
😂🎉😂🎉😂
bollocks
This is timeless and a great reminder to put the bins out
Love the bit in the affair sketch when he transitions from pure unbridled rage to just mild irritation at the bins
“My wrath will be unbridled!”
The son coming out one is just so brilliant.
Seeing this video has been so cathartic for me...up till now I thought I was the only person in the UK who forgets to put the bins out.
Had to look up cathartic, nice job.
I have them on my calendar now because there are so many, paper bin every second Thursday, plastic bin every second Tuesday, general waste bin once a mon... shite! I've forgot to put the bins out. Bollocks.
I remember the day but not which colour - have to check my neighbour.
Which one? Black Green or Brown?
Armstrong and Miller are great actors.
During the pregnancy bit, I forgot what compilation I was watching for a second, so the joke worked the way it was intended for me.
That’s why the sketches were better as a part of the episodes themselves-most of them were completely unexpected!
Exactly what just happened to me 😂
What makes me laugh is the seriousness of the sketches before the punchline
... yes.
I mean, that is the joke
@@ScoopMeisterGeneral really? I didn’t get that. Wow you learn something new every day
No idea how I've managed to not see Armstrong and Miller before. Up until this point, I have always assumed Alexander to be incapable of swearing.
Even when you know the punchline it's still funny XD
Yes, it's anticipating the punchline that multiplies the humour.
Is the first one really mid-orgy??
The secret of great TIMING comedy
I found myself here after I forgot to put the bins out

I can't watch this no more I forgot to put the bins out!!!
bollocks

And yet, given there are no empty bins out, they seem to be the only ones who did remember.
How to tell the same joke a dozen times and it still be as funny the last time as the first.

How timely, as this very morning ... I too forgot to put the bins out.
Love Armstrong and Miller!
The 2nd clip is the best one😂😂
Black bins (general) are collected 1 in 3 up here so if you miss it, it's 6 works worth.
Missing bin day is serious stuff.
I'd forgotten to put the bin out and I was running up the street in my PJs dragging the wheelie bin behind me shouting at the top of my voice and the truck stopped. I have never been so grateful for anything in my entire life.
When you are most vulnerable, running outside in your pijamas with the trash hoping that the truck has not passed yet!
as i watch this, i realize that today is the day they pick up, and i've forgotten to put the bin out.
I like to switch back and forth between this and 'Professor T'
By sheer coincidence, it is actually bin day today!
What happened to the audio part way through?!
It forgot to put the bins out
Sound went wrong at 2:45?
Yeah, not to mention the aspect ratio of the pics. Still, funny stuff!
i'm guessing the gags aren't meant to run consecutively, because that spoils them
Correct. This is a compilation
Oh why couldn't they do a caveman one as well
But no one else in the various streets has put their bins out either.
I’ve gotta say “Up yours! I can go three months without putting the bins out before it becomes an issue, I normally have to pick crap up off the streets just to get my money’s worth!”
ngl the gay one got me
Why did the BBC stop doing comedy?
0:16 1:44 2:25 3:30 5:00 6:15
Which town council got that contract?
4:20 - 'I'm... A wizard...'
'Oh, bollocks!'
great stuff!

Yeah, guilty as charged with this one.
Hey im making a meme can some one put a time stamp on every time someone said I forgot
Anyone thing they missed a golden opportunity? In the coming out one he shoulda said "ah bugger" haha
Why
@@LowryYTIt's a gay reference. Buggery is anal sex.
Some bastards took my bin understand this
😒This had to start with a Multiple Sex Scene?😒
I know. Great, wasn't it? 😊
About as funny as a boil.
Humour, like beauty, like fine food, like music, like art...is entirely subjective. I'm sorry to be the one that broke it to you.

Doing the same joke repeatedly and consecutively isn't funny. This video was boring after the first part.

Well, the last one offered a nice twist with the constabulary unaware of the man loudly exclaiming the fact, right behind him.
