- This is an indepth full guide on how to get the Ivory Cloud Serpent mount coming in patch which will require you to use the Zan-Tien Lasso which is obtained from 120 mogu in the 8.3 version of Vale of Eternal Blossom.

To clear up some confusion. There are three types of invasions that happen in the Vale, the N'zoth Invasion which lasts a week - wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/896254.jpg the Mogu invasion which is just over 3 days - wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/897195.jpg and the Mantid invasion which also lasts just over 3 days wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/896263.jpg the Lasso can be gotten during any invasion. However the ivory cloud serpent only spawns just a Mogu invasion, looking for it at any other time will be a waste of your time. You can mouse over the eyeball on your map thats on Vale to see the time left of the current invasion.

Just to clarify something about the use of the Lasso while flying: YOU CAN USE IT while flying. Contrary what was said at 4:30... I did it today and some ppl said that it was because I was an Druid, but no. It doesn't allow me to use the Lasso while in the Druid flying form, so, if you're a Druid, you need to be in a mount as well. (please, give some thumbs up to keep this info at the top)

Thank you so much for this guide, it helped a ton!!! I got my lasso last night after about killing 20 or so mogu during the invasion. Shortly after, I used group finder to find a group that was farming it (there are plenty of groups up trying to get this mount, so just pick one and be patient). We waited exactly two hours for it to spawn, but very much worth the wait! Used the macro and got the mount immediately :)

So there was no assault at all? I cant figure out how to find the assault. Everytime time I'm here, there is nothing going on and I've killed HUNDREDS of these people and still no lasso...
@@chrism6904 It was the black empire assault. Are you sure you're in the bfa version of VoEB? If the mobs you're killing arent 120 then you'll have to talk to Zidormi by the Mogushan palace. The lasso can drop during any assault as long as you're in hte bfa version.

Thanks so much, i got the mount in a matter of an hour, and all the time was the lasso. I farmed the lasso for so long and went over to the place you suggested, the serpent spawned in the matter of minutes and i was able to get it. Thank You!

Thanks for making this. I wouldn't have gotten the mount without this video. Though, I waited for one and a half hours at the spawn location but nothing happened even though I was spam clicking the macro. By pure luck I looked up and there it was, though futher up in the air than i had expected. x)

I randomly looted the lasso not knowing what it was for. Looked it up and then just went and got the mount today. A very pleasant surprise since I wasn't previously aiming to get this mount.
Thank you! :D I just sat for a bit over an hour mashing a /target /use macro. Finally got target, saw it was out of range above me, had 11 stacks of the worm debuff but still managed to get in range & use the lasso. Shit's gorgeous.

I don’t think you could explain any better than you did! I got it my first try against 7 other ppl. I set my target macro to 5 on my naga and my lasso to 1 and camped for 53 min where he spawns. Mashing the target macro I seen him pop up and found him. He paused in the air upon me using the lasso. Got him in my first attempt thanks to this video. Thank you for the time you put into researching this mount!
I got the Lasso today during the N'Zoth Invasion had no idea what it was until I found your video :) Now just to wait for it to spawn

I got mine to drop on the PTR from the same mobs as I was doing the intro quest, glad to hear its not a rare drop seemingly. id be mad as id never get it again on live lol

Was watching this guide on my other monitor to figure out how to get this mount and just got to the location on the pagoda where you said he flies by. No shit just got there and the Mob zips right by and I was able to grab it. 0 mins of farming and waiting 10/10 would highly recommend this guide lol

the way this happened was crazy. I've had the lasso for 4 years and have never taken the time to camp the mount. so randomly I decide to try it. I'm sitting above the spawn watching this video, at the part about the target macro. so I pause, go back to the game and get my macro onto my bar, I press it once and... suddenly I'm targeting the ivory cloud serpent!? somehow it spawned below me at that exact moment. I panic to get to the lasso in my bags but I do it and now I have the mount! thank you for the video and apparently giving me insane luck!
I camped for several hours tonight and did not see the Ivory Cloud Serpent and I sat right at the spawn point. Then, I was mousing over the rares on the map (from TomCat Tours), and I saw one named Doklani Obliterator and it showed it can drop the Ivory Cloud Serpent mount. I killed it...with the help of a druid...you have to get rid of his anima...so it took a while, and no mount dropped...BUT as I flew back to the spawn point, it had spawned. I tried to catch up, but the worms made sure I did not! ^^ So I went over close to the Golden Stair and waited...had to chase him a bit, but by then the slow had worn off...and I got him! Your information was SOOOOOOO very helpful!!! Thanks for all your hard work. Just as an FYI, I wonder if killing Dokani causes the Ivory Cloud Serpent to spawn now????? Worth checking out! Thanks so much again!

Congratz, I was just randomly killing mobs waiting for a buddy when this dropped. I also had no idea what it was, just after finding out it was for the mount it flew by. All in all it took maybe 10mins 😅

I got it on my second attempt! At first, I got together with a bunch of people also farming the mount. We camped on the spawn point and waited. When the serpent came, a few of us got the mount, but many, like me, didn't. I highly recommed that you farm it by yourself or with a few companions, because it makes it much easier for you to actually see the serpent and to catch it. Also, I waited for it on the top of that big gate, which worked much better for me. Happy hunting everyone!!
Macro confirmed working. however, spawn timer seemed to run a bit longer than 2 hours unless I blinked too fast. 3 people tamed at the same time and all got the mount.
I saw there was a thing in my bag called Zan-Tien Lasso! and i was wondering what it was so i searched it up and now i have a mount :D
Been hanging out in the spawn location during Mogu invasion for a few hours now. No serpent in site. Def feel like the timmer can go way past 2 hours.

Just did it today. Killed the boss from the Main Assault and got the lasso, then waited at the spot advertised in the video. Spammed the macro and the Ivory Cloud Serpent was targeted instantly. Followed where it was and used the Lasso while mounted, got the mount in my bag, and stayed mounted. Confirmed worked. Thank you!!!
Found it randomly today while doing questing, after 3 hours of waiting finally got it. Don't know if it was worth it or not.
Yes the lasso drops outside of mogu invasions I just got one during a bug invasion.

Got one pretty quick on the intro quest from the Baruk Stoneshaper mob.
Hey wee tip for farming the lasso. During entrance to the bake the quest chain requires you to kill zan Tien mogu. Can farm it during this quest, the area it takes you has a relative amount of them which spawn fairly well. Has a chance to drop out of 100 mob kills avg.
Thanks for the great video! I got the lasso off some mogu mobs and had no idea what it was. Your video helped me figure it out. I haven't seen the cloud serpent yet, but the N'zoth invasion is in Uldum right now. I take it that means I won't be able to get the cloud serpent yet?

I got my lasso 20/01 on EU at the golden stairs, i think it's Mantid invasion too. I was on the first quest for Mogu Scouting Report.

I got the lasso from the blood mogu while completing a daily quest, was a nice coincidence when i realized what it does
Got it. the timer appears to be anywhere from an hr to 2.5 hrs . i sat at the spawn point with about 10 other people and we got it ! Ty for the guide!

Hi mate. Can confirm I got the Lasso outside of an invasion. Was collected completely unaware of the mount's existence, whilst completing the "Zan-Tien Generator Parts" Quest for the Uldum Shadow mount.
I got the lasso during the mantid invasion and I got it on my 6th mogu kill. We were looking for the scouting report before even talking to Raden

I got my lasso from the mogu while on the first question from cho to find the scroll. I had no clue what it was till I watched the video
I found it best to set up a custom group to farm the lasso. The fun part is to wait though lol. Honestly it could be worse. At least it’s a guaranteed mount once you lasso it. I’ve already seen one person with it. I’m looking forward to this mount. Thanks for the guide!

@ any mogu mob during a mogu invasion in vale of eternal blossoms. it's a random drop. I heard it can take 30-60 mins to see one drop.
Hehe.!! Today the same thing happened to me, doing the daily ones, I dropped the item and no idea what it was. Research, and now I realize it's for the saddle. Unexpected luck! xD

Thanks for the help! Especially with the macro. I'm not going to lie, I kinda cheated to get my mount. Not only did I use your macro, I set a rapid click toggle switch on my motherboard so it would perform the targeting and using the rope 20 times per second. XD. I wasn't even trying to farm the rope, just sorta popped up.

What I learned: You want to be mounted. Flying high in the air, at the level of the hills and above. At level 60, the serpents don't really both you too much anyway. Use a macro to target the serpent. The you can target the worm even if you are too far away to use the lasso.
Once you find the serpent, fly near it, then snap the lasso. Early morning seems to be a good idea when there are few others looking for it. While a Mogu invasion is happening is NECESSARY. They last 3 days, as Syller has told us. Next, I was worried it would dismount me in the air. NOT so. Get close to the serpent, snap, and in your bags, you now have a new mount. Easy peasy.
Ahhh I was wondering what the Lasso was for. I had this drop off a random mob in that area the other day :-)
