Great info. I was very surprised to learn how reasonable the shipping was to Florida. I was able to get a low hour tractor that looked like new shipped for less than it would have cost to purchase a much higher time tractor in less nice condition locally. The tractor shipped and subsequently arrived the morning of the third day. I couldn’t ask for more. Thanks a million!
You mentioned ramps. I was looking into flatbed semi instead of van trl. We hauled a sky trac and where loaded it with a ramp but the construction company had a local towing company with a landoll trailer back up to our trailer and drove it from one trl to another that is a tilt trl
I only purchased the tractor for the free hat! In all seriousness the freight charge was very reasonable to Kansas City. Driver was awesome, especially with communication. My machine came in on a hot shot trailer. FYI on Central Transport, they only have 48' and 53' vans (in my area). It was easier just to pickup my attachment at their hub rather than wait for a delivery window.
Good information, Courtney. I can now see how important a freight broker is, especially considering how varied the dimensions of the products are that you deal with.
Very very good accurate information! I’ve been in the trucking business for many years and most people just don’t realize all what is involved. I feel this video is a great thing for your business. Being up front with you customers and prospective customers is huge. Great job!
I deal with deliveries from factories all over the country...I've heard every excuse in the world for delayed deliveries...but we all know the driver really just stopped at a girlfriends house 😂
I like your videos, but I live in Alaska and shipping here is something most places won't handle. I found one Kubota dealer in Pennsylvania who said he would deliver a tractor to me. He was anxious to write off his vacation trip to Alaska as a business expense. For the most part , no one will deliver here even with "small" things.
It's not that we can't ship to Alaska, it's the fact that those that live up there don't want to pay the insanely high freight costs. It's quite logical. Costs generally always go up due to distance.
@@GoodWorksTractors I fully understand, but sometimes I don't understand why attachments cost so much to ship here when they sometimes ship free to Seattle. We deal with it and it limits our purchases to manufacturers who have dealers here.
Love your video's I have to ask, I collect a John Deere signs and have a couple lighted ones as well. Where did you get that new cool looking neon John Deere sign on the wall at the end of the video ?
Late 90’s a guy in Florida offered me a free Toro 117 Groundsmaster mower. It’s just under 1000 pounds and just under 8 feet long. UPS Freight quoted me $1,000 to bring it to Minnesota. I passed.
I understand that there are variables. But have no idea of average cost of a subcompact with backhoe and box scraper attached shipment will exceed the cost of sales tax saved buying out of state.
Love your videos, love your content. I've learned a lot from you. Just a comment if I may: I know it's intimidating talking to a camera and we get self conscious. But if you would try to keep the constant hand waving under control, the videos would be much easier to watch.
Very good informal video. Thank you! So I know this is kinda a harsh question but is there any way you could sell other attachments. For example say artillian!!!!!!!!! I do like your attachments please don't take this to heart. I am a subscriber lol. I would like a grapple and forks. Ttwt you know why lol
Haha, Artillian is nice, but they aren't looking to work with me and there's plenty of other solutions on the market as well. Their equipment is extremely expensive. So, versatile, but not exactly value-oriented in my opinion.
I just got scammed out of 20 K buying a tractor online. The website got hijacked and I wired the money to a fictional account and then the website got shut down ?
@@GoodWorksTractors yeah yeah yeah You wouldn't believe it.......The deputies in Oregon said they have had several cases/calls in regards to this......it was a legitimate website and company I just want everyone that tunes into your channel to be aware
Ahh, I think I remember someone sending me to a tractor on their website (they wanted my opinion if it was a good deal). Seemed very shady to me. Man that sucks.
@@GoodWorksTractors as you might imagine I worked HARD & Long . I also had to let two guys go with out the tractor to assist in the work . I can't believe that there would be no way to track down the criminals ???
Free shiping isn't free. It just results in a higher equipment price. Thus making it appear to be a less competitive price until investigating further.
So business to business or business to home freight could be the same charge (on an attachment) if the homeowner can unload it with .....for instance...forks on his tractor? Good video. Thanks!
Howdy, no the common carriers will charge more simply because it's a residential area. As I understand it, they expect most businesses to be in fairly close proximity, so when they need to drive further away, then they charge more to recover their expense.

Another great video, very informative. Your a great wealth of knowledge for us tractor owners. Thank you !!

Don't worry about video length . Longer videos are packed with more information and smaller details which is good .

I'm glad to know that it'll be fairly inexpensive to ship a pallet fork assembly and a brush crusher... now I just need some money.

Good evening. I'm in Saint Johns area, just north of Lansing. Do you do any deals on the JD 5 series? E/M to be specific .?? Thank you for your time.
Howdy, I don't have any 5 Series tractors in stock at the moment.
Could you add shipping cost into the tractor price so you can also finance shipping along with tractor
Yes, I can finance up to 110% of the purchase price.
I'm looking to move a small tractor from Three Rivers Michigan to Stanley North Dakota
How much does it cost to ship 3038 tractor from winnesboro south carolina to fort myers fl
I thought that 4066R was not for sale.
There's one thing in life that is constant. Change! 🤣
What kind of discount can I get if I do a pick up on any order
Well, I’m thinking you could probably discount the shipping costs 😄
I understand that there are variables. But have no idea of average cost of a subcompact with backhoe and box scraper attached shipment will exceed the cost of sales tax saved buying out of state.
Most states now require sales tax to be charged on out of state purchases. That loophole is quickly closing.
