    I built this box today. Very good instructions and lead-in to 2-sided carving. I was nervous when I flipped it an started carving, but it turned out quite good. everything lined up exactly as it should have.

    Well done! I have always flipped two sided CNC jobs along a center line with two bolts that align at both ends of that center line. I think I can figure out the 3 asymmetrical dowel hole placement. Nonetheless, well done!

    • @vectric
      @vectric  5 лет назад

      Thank you Ed for your comments! That is also a method that works :) The benefit of the asymmetric setup is that there is only one possible way you can flip the material over. Thanks ~ Beki

    Can you direct me to the video which explains the dowel hole placement? I can't visualize how you "flip" the board with that 3 hole pattern.

      Hey Steve, Sure! The link in the description takes you to some useful two sided machining tutorials. For the dowels use this link: support.vectric.com/tutorials/V9/selectedvideo.php?video_id=51&bookmarks=null&time=1325 and it will take you straight to the dowel section of the video. I hope the helps :) Thanks, Beki

    how are you turning the piece to match the dowels when the dowels aren't even going to line up

    • @vectric
      @vectric  5 лет назад

      Hi There, So i'm using the assymetrical dowel hole method where I reset the x0y0 when it comes to machining on the bottom side - Take a look at this video it may help better understand this concept: ruclips.net/video/1GlVZQ4ngEU/видео.html Thanks ~ Beki

    how to change 2019 to 2023?

    • @vectric
      @vectric  Год назад +1

      Hey there, In this case Beki welded the vectors so they are no longer a text entity that can be tweaked, however you can ungroup the vectors and delete the year out and replace it with new text "2023" the font used was "Script MT Bold" We hope this helps, have a great day!
