If mowing taller grass you need ample air flow. Your going to want to raise the mower to the highest setting, then re-mow. Sorry, but no mower designed can handle everything and anything. For anyone asking, It in my opinion is the best commercial mower on the market. Also, He may or may not mentioned the 25 inch mower has a spindle connected to a belt that attaches to the engine. This protects the engine from sudden stalls. Great design, and saves the engine from sheering a key. Great video....Just thought I would add some insight.
We will see if they last 40 plus years like my Snapper Commercials. Shoot even my regular Snappers from the 1980's are still going strong today. These new mowers just don't have the tank like build like the old Snappers.
@@jimdavidson5208 I agree only time will tell, but I have a 21" YBravo (the actual manuifacturer of these) and it is the most solid feeling mower I have ever owned. The Kawaski FJ180V is nice as well. When using/mowing, it feels over engineered which is nice (The tubes on the side and front axle especially).
Well informed review. I contacted Ybravo and asked them about a 30" mower they said no engine is big enough for them, due to the more than double the weight of a larger engine. But they are interested in making one in the future when an engine becomes available.
@@legacylg The Kohler 224 is plenty of motor for a 30" system with weight in mind too. The Ybravo gearbox on a 30" toro would be mindblowing. I might try. I have a donor 30 =p
I like the 25 inch cut, the kawasaki motor and the handel bar. But I don't like the speed adjustment way down on the engine and it's not shaft driven like my commercial Honda, if it was shaft drive I would buy one.
The difference in price is most likely for dealer warranty, and availability of service for warranty. Bad Boy Mowers have dealers. Ybravo does not. Awesome mower! I think BadBoy Made a great decision bringing them on. With Honda exiting the push mower market in 2023, the BadBoy will be great for the commercial and residential user. Love the video. Thanks
Sort of reminds me of the Eastman Products 21in mower from years ago. They went under but that exact same mower became branded by Bob Cat, Kubota, Gravely, and the Ingersoll which I owned for a while. It was a tank but it had what felt like an 1/2" of clearance on the back so when you went to load and unload off the trailer, or even making turns it would rub. I've always wanted one of these Ybravo's since they came out but like you said the dealer network is non-existent.
I just got a new 21" Bad Boy self-propelled mower, and I can't locate the discharge chute (PN: 201238-1). to purchase it. Do you know where to get them? Can't find them on the Bad Boy site. Thanks
I'm not sure Pullers but I'd recommend seeing if you can find the Ybravo part number. You might have more luck finding a Ybravo part that would work with your mower.
I think the 100 dollar difference is because bad boy does not get painted its powder coated at least the zero turns are but i could be wrong about the push mower
It's possible. I personally think BadBoy is just trying to milk a little more out of the customer so help cover the cost of them warrantying the YBravo product.
The Ybravo 2nd gen here in san antoni retails 1199.... I think I want the orange version as its sexy as me.... Can you do actual video of you cutting St Augustine?
Good question Robet. Around here we don't have any local Ferris dealers and I've never seen one of the new SCAG SFC's in the wild. I'd probably go with the SFC just because we have local dealer support in the area but admittedly I don't know much about that new mower.
Rey I sold that mower a few years back to switch to a SCAG SWZT 36". The 36" better suited the yards I was doing at the time. When I told the mower I had no major issues pop up between the time of that review and the sale.
I'm not 100% sure but I believe the warranty on their commercial mowers is two years. Mower has been great so far. I've upgraded the mower with a fuel shut off valve, inline fuel filter and replaced the carburetor but outside of that carb which I feel is a kawi problem and not a BadBoy/Ybravo problem it's been solid.
Bad boy should just design an accordion style handlebar you shouldn't have to freaking spend half the day install the handlebars. I don't like anything that stores grass under it and that well filter assembly totally sucks how are you going to know when you push the mower into brush and it breaks and you have no engine oil

If exmark/ Toro have 30 inch mowers, Ybravo should be able to make one

Great in-depth review. Thanks!
Thank you James.

Toro honda commercial the best mine still work perfect since 2009
Except the drive controls are awkward, and mulches mediocre

I agree, needs a side sling. It's 2023 now and they lack a side sling?

I'm leaning towards the 30" timemaster
Deck depth looks extremely shallow on left hand side....does it sling clippings out from under while mowing?
Excellent, descriptive video. 👏
Thank you for the positive feedback!

Single blade?
1 question... with some literature I’ve need reading through.... is the motor a Kawasaki fj180 Kai 197cc?
Yep
Great information!

Temujin Khan yeah I'll try when I have some time.
Thanks
What model Seadoo?
is there a good place online for these mowers?
FYI: This 25 inch mower either Bad Boy or Ybravo .... Are Made In China. Deal breaker for me.
Glad you said that!
Deal breaker for me as well.
To heck with China.
Name a mower that doesn't plug up a chute with tall, wet grass besides a brush mower. That's why brush mowers are around, they are tanks.
It’s a Ybravo painted orange
Ferris fw15 or scag30

Too many levers and clips to hold on to. Your hands get tired if you use these mowers a lot. Guess I'll keep my old Snapper Commercials.
What’s the price
Good review.
Any new review on this mower?
