Rest in Peace dear Michaela, you deserved a better life! You were amazing and beautiful. Now you are save and together with your dear parents. We never ever will forget you!!!❤ For always with us,love from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
OMG she's too encaptivating. You just can't get enough of her dancing. There is no one in this world or has been that is this good. She's practically flawless - she creates pictures when she dances. The eyes see many things when she dances. One just wants to live and breath her. She's what all dance tutors have been wanting to see from everyone that aspires to be a dancer. She will go down in history - well she should.
Agent lost girl Naturally, I guess she would be. She feels through her movement. Many dancers think that expression is about pulling that stereotypical face and really trying hard to over over stretch. However, with her it's all natural as though it was a natural calling to dance. It's easy for her to emote feelings through her movements.
I used to always come back to this performance when I was sad or needed inspiration. You will continue to inspire so many of us for the rest of our lives. Rest in the perfect beauty that you are 🕊
I studied Ballet. Ballet is so much harder than it appears. Those who are very talented like Michaela, make it look so easy. Michaela was very talented. What a joy to Watch.
Lily's RUclips Channel she just got a commercial about paying your bills on your phone either chase or verizon. ive seen it 3 or 4 times. she also has a book and a contract with netherlands dance company. she ia also always being interviewed by some media outlet. shes getting alot that other girls with more talent dont ever get
Lily's RUclips Channel she was getting tons and tons of attention 2 months ago when you posted. she is above average, theres way, way better, and she is blank on stage with zero personality on stage.
Cayla Prima She has an interesting story, to literally come from a war-torn country to rise to the upper echelons of a very insular world. That’s something to aspire to. Most dancers have been coached, prodded and cajoled to excellence from an early age. Her natural talent is what guided her from a late start. I am in no way interested in ballet but she inspires me just because of her dedication and perseverance. That’s worth talking about!
I just learned of Michaela in the last few weeks, & what a tragedy to hear of her passing. R.I.P. Michaela. You lit a fire for so many young Black girlies who look like you to see themselves in Ballet & can now enjoy the simple pleasure of having shoes that match their skin tone. R.I.P. 🖤⭐️
Watching this I sense she's not just going through the motions, but has something she is conveying to us. We can thank her for sharing her gift with us and wish her peaceful eternal rest.
I read her book, and I relate to a small degree, because I'm a dancer and have been since I was 4. I've never been that good-but I love dancing, and seeing her absolute attention to every detail in her movement but making it look so natural at the same time is just amazing. After all the struggles she's gone through, it's amazing to see this.
Annah Stevenson what does the color of her shoes have to do with “black lives matter” and all that? 😂 like i stg someone could do anything just as good as a white person and people would be like “WOW THE BLACK GIRL DID SO MUCH BETTER BECAUSE SHES BLACK.” like there are thousands of white ballerinas who have trained their whole lives and they get barely any recognition while someone who is black dances for a couple years and is world famous because apparently black people are discriminated when really people tend to like them more because of “trauma of discrimination” that they’re great great great great great great aunt went through. like, ok white ppl have moved on but apparently a lot of black ppl haven’t because everyone always sets lower standards for themselves as black people and everyone says “omg she did this and she’s black” like get over it pretending that they are better because of the color of they’re skin is bullshit. everyone is capable of the same thing. she is there because of hard work not because she has darker skin and brown pointe shoes.
@@idk_what_to_put_here-dk6bj The person was just stating their opinion and complementing the dancer and showing pride for black people. I feel like you were being a little too dramatic over the fact someone just wanted to compliment a dancer's shoes and showing support for black people. I feel like white people and black people equally get respect in the dance world no matter what age, gender, sexuality or nationality so there is no need to get upset over a person's opinion.😁 P.S. Not many dancers are black and no matter what race people across the globe has shown improvement and committed their whole life to dancing barely even getting a childhood or going to college. Everyone has their opinions , but there is no need to be upset over small details.
Michaela. You dance so beautifully. You've turned tragedy into triumph. I'm thankful that you've shared your gift; your love of dance with us. Stay strong and keep doing what what you love!!
She is amazing. Born into poverty and orphaned, she never gave up on her dream. Her beautiful adopted mother believed in her and helped her achieve her success. ❤️
Perhaps it's just an unintentional bias on my part but a lot of the solo ballerina's I've seen have had at least parts of their dances covering themselves, sort of closed off and trying to protect or shield. I've seen that posture in plenty of places, but not here. No part of this beautiful performance felt closed off or shielded. It was beautiful.
It's true - her arms never folded, crossed and pulled in as if to protect from harm and retreat, pull close something desperately. No, she was open the whole time. It felt powerful, but vulnerable (not in the sense you wanted to hold her and comfort her, like the folding in posture) but in the sense she could be attacked for displaying herself openly. It was an interesting feeling.
An exquisite experience to watch!!!! Lucky me Michaela watching was like arose blooming so amazing so blessed so talented keep being happy, your dance is your language of love!!
My heart just breaks after watching her documentary on NBC and coming here to watch this. She is so graceful, and poised and strong. I cant believe she has endured as much as she has and is able to go through life with this. It just gives this dance so much more meaning for me and I cant help but cry. She has truly overcome alot and i thank God for her. This truly has inspired me to keep moving forward no matter what. Greatness is in her around her. Keep going strong michaela!!!! You are truly a great role model for other young women to keep striving and persevering no matter what. Thank you.
michaela is amazing she is such an inspiration and as a black African dancer i can relate to all the difficulty she went threw and what i love the most is that she rose above all of it and came out strong and beautiful. i love you michaela
the cleanest and most delicate she's ever danced in my opinion. Went to see ballet at CC tonight and was yearning for ballet like this. No noise, just dance and an exact placement of self. Thank you for everything Michaela.
I can honestly say I’ve never watched a full ballerina performance. Her performance was so captivating! You could feel all of the negative, hurt, and pain being released from her spirit. I loved it. So graceful.
Like why am I crying right now? It's Dec 25th, 2022 and I am spending my Christmas cry my eyes out at this beautiful work of art. Merry Christmas to anyone who is seeing this, and many blessings 💛

Absolutely stunning performance. I just heard your story - what an amazing spirit. Michaela, you are so beautiful and you have undeniable talent. I was mesmerized ... I want to see more!
RIP What an incredible journey. I'm posting this September 2024. Michaela died a few days ago and they're not releasing the cause of death yet. At this point we don't know how she died but what a horrible loss not only to the art but to those who followed her inspirational story.

My daughter keeps asking when she will get to see Michaela in person. I don’t know how to tell her. Heartbroken. What strength and grace together.
RIP dear Michaela, Amsterdam was so proud to have you here🙏🏻
My heart is broken…
My three-year-old daughter just watched this and screamed, "SHE'S BEAUTIFUL!!" She's certain she wants to be a ballerina now

You should show her first position sometime.
You should let her start ballet.
