    As a Dutch kickboxing fan for my whole life, Alex Pereira started to get in his prime like 5/6 years ago. He started training at 23 years old.

    Alex started training at 23 yo. All his losses before Vaktov, he was an underdeveloped and inexperienced fighter. He was not even in his prime when he knocked out Adesanya.

    fun fact- a lot of people know alex was an acoholic but he didnt stop drinking once he started doing kickboxing
    he said in a interview that he won his first 28 matches in brazil and in the pan championship in the first round by KO, while drinking heavily. He also never had a full time coach, he made up his own style by himself and he started at 21 years old.
    Thats how talented he is.

      @Earth Crusader But they do, some undefeated fighters go through tough tests at points in their career unless they fight cans, are superior to their peers, or get favorable matchups. Like Jon Jones (minus the B.S DQ). Nothing against fighters losing tho. It happens to the best of them, and losing can definitely help them grow.

    Most of his loss was against top level kickboxers in his division. Eventually, he developed himself into an invincible monster and revenged on almost all of them.
    I'm sorry the part 'almost all of them'was absolutely incorrect. I was too excited before the Sean match I have to be calm. I'm sorry for spreading wrong information. But, I 100% guarantee his development throughout his career. Now, he's not like the one in the video.

      @Mikel Alex started training kickboxing at age of 21, he was still green when he knocked out Izzy, he later improved so much became 2 division champion in Glory, he beat better kickboxers than Izzy, in meantime Izzy didn't improve as a kickboxer very much, look how terrible he performed vs Yoel, and Jared, he was running whole fight, such a shame for an elite kickboxer

      He is like Ngannou. I loved how the inexperienced Ngannou turned boxer stipe into a wrestler and in the 2nd fight, Ngannou with experience and a full training camp completely demolished the supposed GOAT at HW.

    this guy kinda reminds me of Jiri and how his Will is unbreakable
    in the first fight where his right and left leg gets hurt and eats liver shots and is hurting everywhere he still gets up as fast as he can, dude just doesn't accept defeat.

    He was hurt against Wilnis, He lost his first MMA fight because he had no take down defense, the rest are decisions and he later bashed all of them mostly by KO

      Err.. are you blind.. this video clearly shows him being stopped 4 times. How can you say all his losses were by decision? 🙄.. Hype him all you want, he isn't that great a fighter, and his chin isn't as sturdy as people claim it is. He used his long limbs to his advantage during his 10 match win streak, but eventually lost to a shorter sturdier man.
      MMA is a good look for him. Izzy and Khamzat are the only 2 lanky contenders so he should do just fine, until Dana gives Wilnis a contract 😁

And the best of it all was that Jason Wilnis was saying that Poatan wasn't a kickboxer, that he was just a boxer doing kickboxing, then got a high kick to the head, got up, flying knee to the chin and decided it was a good time for a nap in the middle of the ring.

      ​@@MoistMann bros statement was made 2 years ago, every one says Alex doesn't have a great chin because Izzy stung him twice but to me it doesn't seem like he has a bad chin he just seemed to be cutting too much weight jiri hit him with some good shots and they didn't even phase him. Izzy just hit him with a perfect shot, he did the same in the first round of the first fight but after that there wasn't any major drama until Alex finished it.

If I wave 3 steel rods in front of you, with 3 different densities (same material and same size), from how my hand and the steel rod moves you can guess which one is which density very easily just by using your eyeballs. The lighter one moves faster, changes direction more easily... You know?! That very basic brain function you evolved to have 20 million years ago?       O juiz abriu contagem pro Poatan contra o Israel no Glory. Se fosse no UFC, o Adesanya teria nocauteado.
      Mesmo que vença o Adesanya, o primeiro wrestler que pegar ele perde.
      Whittaker, Vettori, Hermansson, Chimaev ele não aguenta. Só trocar no MMA não adianta.
      O Strickland que foi burro demais achando que conseguiria vencer trocando.

    Adesanya is a prime example of losses not stopping your growth as a fighter, he LITERALLY became the champ of the best and most difficult fighting organization ever! Can't ever knock a guy like Pereira for his past. Even jiri had several Ko losses, now look at em😉S A M U R A I. STYLEBENDER.

    That Vakhitov loss was very sketchy as well. Lost a point for basically nothing, and wobbled Vakhitov several times. It was clear Glory didn't want him leaving to go to the UFC with their belt. Imo he's still the Glory LHW Champ

      100%. The ref was all over Alex from the start. He got way too involved in the fight, let alone a title fight. Vakhitov got wobbled several times, no chance he won. Glory wasn't letting Pereira leave with that belt.

    This really goes to show how elite glory kickboxers are and how huge the disparity is in mma, Alex was used to these knockout artists so going into mma was kind of a cake walk because they never had the experience time and time again going against elite level snipers, even jiri was one of the ufcs best knockout artists and Alex just toyed with him. There really are levels to this.... I was hoping Alex went to ufc, and he definitely did not disappoint, I really want to see Alex vs Ankalaev, because strikers dont stand a chance against him.

    People hating on Izzy's success so hard, they want him to lose, he gets discredited time and time again, they are constantly looking for the next best to beat him, last time it was Romero, when he won that fight they said he ran all night, next was Costa, he won and they said he's on steroids, not long ago it was Khamzat, it's like they are searching for a saviour, now is Alex, "if" Alex loses this fight, just wondering what these people will come up with next. Just give the Champ his credits and when the fight happens may the best man win. These 2 are incredible fighters, show some respect.
