It feels like Mihoyo tried to make a new Barbara, failed, and then decided to run with it only to just come back to the original and forget the byproduct ever existed
Just want to point out a few things here: The screen is still a conventional LCD/LED screen just like every other electronic billboard, except constructed to wrap around a building at a 90 degree angle. This allows for ads/video that when viewed from certain angle, it look '3D' this is an optical illusion, there's no special equipment involved to make it '3D'. Likewise, you only need artistic skill to render a video that look 3D as it is just an optical illusion. If you wondered how they make Barbara and the butterfly pops out, the screen is larger than the length of the 'room', the blacked out side allow for the illusion that seems to appear out of 'boundary'. This isn't going to cost more than any conventional advertising, or should I say, significantly more, the only premium this ad space can ask for is the novelty of a bend screen, or location premium, these screens tend to be placed at expensive bustling districts. Eg. there's a few of them in Kuala Lumpur and most of them are situated in central business districts like the KLCC/Bukit Bintang. I know there's some major 'discussion' atm about Genshin's Anniversary, but that's another can of worm for another place.
For real though. Most of the “advertisement” has been people telling me about the game and maybe trailers ever so often on RUclips. Word got around quick of this “great anime botw game” and the company was likable back then. Now Genshins become another sour greedy company and recommending it to players who want to try the game out feels sour in my mouth.

I love seeing how far this game has come I remember watching ads for it and getting annoyed, then one day i got a Qiqi ad and I finally took a look and I loved it. The funny thing is on my first 10 wishes I got Qiqi, clearly it was ment to be XD
Pretty cool usage of a corner screen. I wander how they set that bent camera on the 3D engine. Also a pretty cool usage of dark corners helping to make it looks like she is getting out of the screen. Would not work as well during the day or in a well illuminated street. Knowing that I wander if they tailored that animation exclusively for that screen.
Animator intentionally leave part of the screen black so they can animate object as if it leaves the screen. They need to sell desktop screen like this.
