Notice how the German drivers don't camp in the left lane. Must be awesome to see a highway system function as it should. Here in the US you have people that just refuse to get out of the left lane.
Constantly! I live along an interstate in a small town outside a large city and when heading home for the day it is not uncommon to have one rig trying to pass another rig and both are governed within 1mph of one another. This unfortunately means it takes them MILES to pass one another.
Yes, a lot.
I thought that was baked in, isn't it called "keep your lane" or something? Might depend on state. I don't live in the US I just heard that somewhere and thought it made sense (that such a system is in place, not that it's any good) because I sometimes see videos of USA where trucks are just chilling on lane 3 of a 4 lane highway and you'd think they'd get pulled over if that wasn't allowed by law...
@@n0vast0rm Euros tend to have a lot stricter laws about lane changes. And they have to have to do a lot more to get their licenses. In the US, it's up to us to learn on our own, if we want. By and large, people are pretty good drivers here. The stereotypes of bad American drivers is way overblown. This is coming from someone that drives a lot for work.
Yes, but the Interstates near me have more traffic than this in the middle of the night. It's easier to drive correctly when traffic is light.
that sound will never get old

That f0cking MUSCLE ENGINE...SOUNDS SO PERFECT 20/10 !!!
Indeed, i am ashamed that Dodge even call the new charger ev "Muscle car"
@@volvofreak86 Its just for promotion, everyone knows an EV can't be a muscle car lol
In the late 90s I was on vacation in Germany and rented a small Opel sedan. The fastest I could get that car to go was 127 miles an hour. One day we were driving down the road I was doing about 120 miles an hour in the “slow” lane… and I told my passenger… “Watch this, watch this”…. and a few seconds later, a Mercedes Benz went by me like I was standing still. He must’ve been doing over 150 miles an hour. It was amazing….
Mercedes😍
This gave me chills. I have a 22 challenger hellcat black package. Now, seeing this video you pushing 298 km / hour well thank you. Keeps me from ever doing it 😅
The sound of this engine worth every penny.. even the kick from the gearbox 🚀
...from "Road & Track" magazine:
"The Charger Hellcat's 2.4-second and 3.7-second pass from 60-100 mph (97-161 km/h) and 100-130 mph (161-209 km/h) makes it faster than the other cars in the 0-200 mph battle, including the Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce LP750-4 which completes the 60-100 and 100-130 passes in 2.6 and 4.0 seconds respectively, and the McLaren 675LT which does 60-100 in 2.8 and 100-130 in 3.9 seconds. Combining into 60-130 is the Hellcat doing 6.1 seconds to the Aventador's 6.6 and the 675LT's 6.7 seconds."
Nope. HC Charger Slimbody can do 100-200 in 6.6-6.8 sec. 60-130mph should be about 7.2-7.6 sec.. still very very fast. I drive the car about 3 years.. no problem following high end sportscars in unrestricted Autobahn.
The most glorious sound getting up to speed, and not out of reach for the average soul!
that mirror flapping in the wind, true Chrysler quality here
Wouldn't mind owning something like this regardless.

The Autobahn is amazing.
Even the road patches are amazing.
You'll see a darker spot of pavement, indicating a patch, but your tires won't even make a thump and the sound of the tires on the pavement stays the same.

I love how no matter how impressive American Muscle cars are... someone will always come in and go "well its not (enter European car here)". I love me some Mercedes AMG but in my heart and as an American I will always prefer my Muscle cars. (Im a huge Dodge fan through and through).
The irony is Chrysler hasn't been American owned for decades. The current and last Dodges, for last 15 years have been your German E class based Charger/Challenger/300/Magnum with Benz parts bin components in it and on it. Next year? Nothing. Nada. Bankruptcy. Just an Alfa called the Hornet which will fail. Bye bye Dodge. At least my 2nd car as a kid, a brand new 'Cuda was real 70's American Muscle - oops, I lived on East Coast as a kid therefore my 'Cuda was built in Canada so even that wasn't American !!! Oh well. 🇺🇸
@@cuda426hemi yeah fuck dodge and fuck "Stellantis"
@The Hash Slinging Slasher Really? What does outsourcing parts have to do with outsourcing the SAME parts from one car to another? Further - who cares about parts? I mentioned the whole DESIGN. Maybe lay off your hash a bit - might help the comprehension. So cute you compare a company that hasn't been American for decades to a German company that's been German for more than 100 years. 👀
@@cuda426hemi Tell me you have no clue about Dodge without telling me you have no clue about Dodge. If Dodge isn't American because of a platform, then Ferrari isn't italian because of the magnetic suspension system developed by GM. And the 1990s Diablo was made designed by Chrysler, according to your logic.
2020 Shelby GT500 will impress you alot with its 760hp supercharged engine with a DCT transmission. Quarter mile times are 10.5s and 10.6s on prep surfaces tho. It's a track oriented car too.
0 to 160mph has no problem, takes it with its eyes shut with ease....

Top speed of 327kmh. 203 mph. This car was built for this road.
@@ishikawa7077 No, it's aerodynamics are pretty bad, and 200-250 times are bad for 700 hp.

you should've recorded the fuel gauge too 😂😂
you would have to set up a number or a search function so that you can find the 100-200 times better and faster, or as in the past in the👍🏻👍🏻 video, that would be great
How cute the supercharger whine sounds inside : D
Love this video
Would love to see you guys get your hands on the Durango Hellcat without a limiter (someone in Germany has one but it seems to be speed limited at import)
That or a trackhawk, would love to see either.
@@will.dornon Trackhawk I would think could do even better top speed (into the 180s) so that would be awesome to see as well.
after hitting 175 in my Durango HC you would need to be traveling full throttle for an uncomfortable amount of time to hit max speed
@@NORTHBAYSRT yeah the drag limit is around 180 so I would expect it to take a really long time to eeek out the last few mph if it even hits 180.
3:25 wiper motor could maybe use an extra HP or 2
Very fast car. Thanks for the video.
Looks like so much fun.
I love this kind of cars.
Badass dude. That's quite a "sedan" ain't it? Love the sound.
Almost every single state in the US has people camping out and putting along in the fast lane. There are a couple states I’ve been in where there just wasn’t any traffic so the roads were wide-open, Montana, Utah and Wyoming are the best. Attempt only during summer months as you can hit black ice during the winter.
How was that compared to the others? Feel solid?
Awesome job!

Er-ma-ba-gerd that 6.2L supercharged Hemi sound will NEVER get old!
Nice. Great to see it done legally. I spent two days in County lock up for doing 145 mph in my 09 Challenger R/T. Just a 5.7. And believe me I could have went 160 plus. So you can get in trouble real quick in these modern muscle cars. Must be nice to open it up once in a while and stretch your legs legally.
Only two days in county? Definitely worth it. It’s the fines, court costs, attorney fees, and probation fees, along with getting your car impounded and towing/storage fees that make it not worth it.
American car on the Autobahn: Okay
American drivers on the Autobahn: Houston, we will have problems.
I bet that Gas gauge moved faster then the Speedometer:)
The Hoodville car iykyk
Dayem that's pretty nice
My Dodge mini van only went 115 mph. But when I was on the Autobahn, that's how fast I went. My wipers didn't work as well at 115 that this car did at 160.
It’s all fun and games until the first corner arrives.
I love that car btw
That's why we have Autobahn - no corner, no limit ;P
These cars are surprisingly not bad in the corners. They have double wishbone front suspension, and are built on a Mercedes E class chassis ( albeit from 20 years ago.)

I have the same car as a daily. Is it a widebody or slimbody in the video? I assume WB because it is Slowene than my car. I did 6.6-6.8 100-200 bis Dragyapp. Topspeed is above 322kph. Widebody can do 315kph as aero is a bit down.
