I bought a sander from Aldi years ago, it's one of their Workzone branded ones which I have used extensively over the years and its still going strong. This thing just will not give up! I also have a Workzone 50 litre compressor and one of their air powered nailers. I believe that Workzone tools are made by Erbauer in Germany so you get high quality tools just under a different brand name.
Yes I can believe it.. I must have a trawl of Aldi although the last lot of clamps I had from there cut my ✋ Apparently some of the Lidl stuff is supposed to be ok also..
@@thewoodjunki I think some Aldi tools are Ferrex branded these days. I don't know if they are still made by Erbauer or if they are cheaper Chinese copies. It would be a shame if Aldi are having their tools made down to a price and skimping on the quality. I haven't seen any reviews of Ferrex tools compared to Workzone / Erbauer tools but it would be interesting to see comparisons of their performance and longevity.
Hi Billy, great video, I laughed out loud when you were trying to connect disconnect those clamps and nearly knocked your self out! 😂 brilliant! Keep up the videos pal, cheering me up no end in Manchester 👍
Real nice demo of the clamps! I’ll have to take a look at them and maybe put them on my Christmas list. Cooler days here in San Antonio Texas. Highs only in the 80s. Thankfully
Yes there are some good cheap ones about but my thing behind the clamps was I bought a set from Aldi a while back and tightened one and the plastic snapped and cut my hand. Maybe I was just unlucky but it’s always played on my mind.. I’m more scared of clamps than a table saw 👌🤣🤣
Random question for everyone I guess. Currently debating between a miter or table saw as my first big tool. Been using several circular saws and just want something to make better cuts more often more repeatable. What should I do? So far I’ve made a lot of stuff out of regular boards. Not much big ply wood.
Jorgensen is a high quality brand- some of their items can get pricey, though. I didn’t know the founder was a woman. I gave my daughters names that could be interpreted as male or female strictly for the reason of hiding their gender so they could succeed in their endeavors. You might think it shouldn’t matter and we don’t need to do that nowadays but, No. We still do. I got my son Jorgensen wood planes as suggested by Nick Engler (and his dog, Bella,) at Workshop Companion for his birthday/Halloween present. I know he’ll love them. So.. how many delivery people and postal workers has Stanley gone through now? 😆🐶💖 I don’t know why but I’m suddenly hungry for a bacon sandwich 😐
I’ll have to have a look at the planes.. I want to get into a bit of hand tools. Yes the history of the company is really amazing, I like looking into the history of everything as I find stuff like that fascinating. Can you imagine 1903 and being a woman starting a business 👌 top marks to the woman and I’ll now look at buying more of that brand.

80s is something we dream of 🤣🤣
I’ll keep everyone updated on use but so far so good 👌
Hi Billy,All my clamps are cheap ones from the pound shops B&M and the like
They are years old and still in working order

My own personal opinion would be a mitre saw 👌
Wondering if you could put Amazon US links so we can purchase through your link as well
I will look into that.. to be honest this is all new to me 🤣👌 I will have a look into it though
Have you tried lidl's brand of tools, Parkside. I think they are really good and would like to know what you think.
I haven’t but I’ll go get some to try and pop a video on 👌
