    Please try *Ulcerate - Withered And Obsolete* (because they have unusual riffs and top notch creative drumming imo)

    Wow I wasn’t expecting to like this but was pleasantly surprised! Fun tune. Though there screamer isn’t my favorite. Hopefully it’s cool to recommend someone more than once - I’d really like to see you react to Moon Tooth, anything really but Through Ash, Awe at all Angles, White Stag, Queen Wolf are all good starters.

    Wow did not expect to see this song be done. I love this band, and I’m glad skrillex/sonny left dubstep and came back to his band

    I'd love to see you give Opeth another try with Windowpane. It's a completely different sound from the last song you did by them with no harsh vocals. It's absolutely gorgeous and I'd love to hear your take on it. Very emotional song. Really enjoying watching your reactions!!

    I'd love to see your thoughts on Advent Sorrow - While Bones are Broken, that would be a bit of a change in vocal style from most metal, but i find it so beautiful (esp. the ending)

    Dang, I was not expecting a From First to Last reaction. They were easily one of my favorite bands back in '06 - '07. For whatever reason, I didn't get into Heroine (the album... lol) as much as Dear Diary. I remember listening to Shame Shame about 1000 times and loving it, so I'll have to go back and give that album another chance.
    As for this song, I have to agree with you... The production is great and the music isn't bad, but It's somewhat of a watered down version of their earlier music.

      @CriticalReactions  4 года назад +1

      Shame Shame was a masterpiece but the rest of the album was killer as well. Funny enough, I never got into Dear Diary so I should probably give that a go-around one of these days.

    Coming from your Shadow of Intent - Melancholy reaction. How the hell did you only get one request?? IMO, their best song is Chthonic Odyssey -I think it's ridiculously underrated- or Malediction (that's probably most popular). If you could react to either of those, you'd make my month -I'd recommend a lyric video.

    let me first say that i very much enjoy your videos, not just griping to be an a**hole. but tbh i could do with a bit of room noise. the way it kinda finds its way in WHILE you're talking and is chopped out between words is more than a little jarring. maybe lose the noise gate? sounds like you're talking into a snare drum (in headphones)

    • @CriticalReactions
      @CriticalReactions  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for the criticism. The room noise is a ceiling fan (I live in a hot part of the world so it's gotta run 24/7). You're spot-on about the gate. Maybe I'll leave the gate on during the reaction so it doesn't interfere with the music but I'll disable it after that so it creates a consistency and is less jarring.

    Didn't Sonny have to stop screaming because he was doing it wrong and hurting his vocal chords?

  • @Isaiah_McIntosh

    First time hearing these guys. That was remarkably meh. Inoffensive to my taste but definitely nothing spurring another listen. I wish we could do away with the vocals and use some cooler guitar lines.

      Just to give this context, this is far and away different from their older stuff. Much like many -core or scene bands from the 2000s, they've decided to go a pop-ier route in their revival. That isn't to say that you would enjoy their older stuff either, just that it's different from this.
