I’ve always said Derek was super underrated. Both him and Matt good, Matt basically carried the band on his entire back after sonny left. If it were 2006 again, and Derek bloom was a free agent, there isn’t a single famous emo band out there that wouldn’t be calling him
Definitely as well as Aaron Stern from Matchbook Romance. So fuckin underrated that hes the only member of supergroup D.R.U.G.S that doesnt have a fuckin wiki page.
Christian Saona Alvarado are you sure all the members were on? I know Travis barker was on the drums, so what happened with Travis Gould.. think that's his name
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my login password. I love any help you can give me.
Lol they casually talking about living in different parts of the continent , taking flights, going to studios to record music at 17-20 years old like its nothing and costs nothing. Me at 18 , i had no idea what i wanted to do in life as all my friends as well. We were just drinking every weekend and going to school, definitely didn't have any money to even leave the city
Man if sonny didn't leave FFTL had a chance to be one of the biggest bands ever from the genre. They were my favorite band when I was in junior high and high school
I feel you man, I'm 27 now. I was 12-13 the first time I heard this band. They were my introduction to post hxc. The memories that are wrapped around this band are so heartfelt. Between girls I used to know, and emotions tied to moments I'll never forget. I can't stress enough how important this band was for me.
that guy in the store was right about one of them being the next superstar. sonny became one of the most paid DJs in history. insane stage presence by him too wtf
a small part of 18 year old me wishes i was at this concert at my age, but i think its for the better that im 18 in this time and get to watch all this on youtube whenever i can, or listen to their music in high af quality.
skrillex is a beast.. why do so many ppl hate on him so bad??just cuz he changed genres?? that's a weak reason to hate on somebody.. plus hes shittin on the game as skrillex and he is very successful, I don't know how people can hate on that... I guess fame always comes with haters but in his case it shouldn't becuz sonny has been swaggin hard for a decade now and I respect anybody who is successful doin what they love
Because people love sitting on their asses in front of their computers and critisize other people who work daily, experiment and take risks in their lives. Yes, i wish Sonny would never switched genres but he's not suppose to persue my expectation. We only live once and suppose to persue our OWN dreams.
I respect him so much for it. When he was with FFTL he was a HUGE aphex twin fan and he started messing around with electronica. He made a solo album which was dope then transitioned into one of the biggest Dubstep artists. At such a young age. To be able to not only change genres but chase a passion project only for it to become globally huge is nothing short of amazing. Sonny Moore is an amazing human being
This is amazing! I was only 10 at the time and I'd never heard of these guys but wow!!! I wish I was there, the amount of raw energy in this performance is incredible. 2000s had amazing music.
Sonny says "motherfuckers" as casualy as anybody would say "friends" or "guys" )) Ah, i love them all. Their lyrics, their music, their vocals. They left everything on stage here.
Epitaph dvd. Their new album was pretty solid. Loved the revised versions of; note to self, ride the wings, and the latest plague. For everyone that will argue me that Sonny made this band: I saw them 3 times with Sonny. I can connect 4 easier than he could match his vocals. Yes, I saw them much before he needed surgery. Exhibit A: His attempts to match his vocals were like trying to teach a Borg to have it's own opinion.
Favorite fucking band of all time. Such vicious cunt rock. We share the same blood, brothers. This music doesn’t just speak to me, it defines me. Can’t send enough love.
Damn... memories, I had this dvd but I cant remember what it was called exactly. I know they also had from autumn to ashes live shows on it, cant remember the other bands.
18:3818:57 Haha, I noticed Travis playing a Black Metal riff instead. Would have been cool if Derek played Blast Beats for that part just for shits and giggles.
It seems that this was from an Epitaph Records sort of presentation DVD for the bands that were on the label at that time. Im still wondering if someone has a physical copy of this
Check out the album he did with The Human Abstract - Digital Veil. He did Vocals on one full length and it's AWESOME! - He screams and does cleans...It's amazing, I wish they did a follow up with him and kept him as the frontman!
Sonny originally joined as the guitarist in 2004 with intent of Matt or Travis being the full time frontman...but Sonny was singing backup vocals in the studio and they were blown away, so they decided to have him be the full time frontman
Imagine being 15-16 years old and just crushing a set like this
He seemed like a prodigy. Wish he would’ve stayed in music after leaving FFTL. He probably could’ve got pretty successful or maybe even get a Grammy
@@lovesgibsonlol. If you’re talking about Sonny he’s literally Skrillex.
@@xAlexisonfirex lol yeah I was just kidding, since he has a bunch of Grammys
DEREK BLOOM was slept on,the dude was a talented drummer, Derek and Jimmy The Rev from A7x is the main reason I became a drummer for back in late 2009
Derek Bloom was a GOD amongst drumming for sure!!
I’ve always said Derek was super underrated. Both him and Matt good, Matt basically carried the band on his entire back after sonny left. If it were 2006 again, and Derek bloom was a free agent, there isn’t a single famous emo band out there that wouldn’t be calling him
Give “the color of violence” a listen.. Bloom on Drums and Travis on guitar.
Definitely as well as Aaron Stern from Matchbook Romance. So fuckin underrated that hes the only member of supergroup D.R.U.G.S that doesnt have a fuckin wiki page.
Guys, finally Soony Moore is back to the band :') They just released "Make War" with original members!
Christian Saona Alvarado I like the song
NiteZ Comments me too, i cant wait to hear more ;)
Christian Saona Alvarado are you sure all the members were on? I know Travis barker was on the drums, so what happened with Travis Gould.. think that's his name
Christian Saona Alvarado never mind, haha Travis bloom
James Moore Derek bloom*
Very cool to see Sonny play the guitar!
Jimmy : "he's a future rockstar".. well jimmy, youre a man with great vision 😁
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account??
I somehow forgot my login password. I love any help you can give me.
@Jamari Bishop instablaster =)
Yeah a great vision and a creepy penchant for heroin and much younger guys.
@@Mari-kb7jb What's real?

Masons are bred to succeed in this world at a very young age. We are bred to serve them.
Man if sonny didn't leave FFTL had a chance to be one of the biggest bands ever from the genre. They were my favorite band when I was in junior high and high school
DontLookBack Agreed. Dear Diary and Heroine are iconic. They would have probably gotten a lot further if Sonny hadn’t left.
Agreed. These dudes could've been on my chems level if sonny hadn't quit imo. I miss 2004
I feel like they are one of the biggest bands of the genre.... You fuckin poser
But no skrillex or the genre he helped sculpt. Dear diary and heroine are some of the best albums
I happen to think they were the biggest band in the genre.
When one arm boxer came on I teared up not gona lie. Thinking about my youth when this album came out. (Im 30 now, was 13 the first time I heard this)
right behind you man
So you were born around 89? What's it like growing up in that time?
I feel you man, I'm 27 now. I was 12-13 the first time I heard this band. They were my introduction to post hxc. The memories that are wrapped around this band are so heartfelt. Same was always my go to emo band. Sonnys voice is strong and unique
@@gigistephens4633 I was 17 when that album came out and I'm 35 now still jamming out to it
Finally!!! A full set with Sonny :") wish I could of seen em in their prime.
Yeah me too but i think that Spencer Sotelo is amazing. They played tons of old songs in their recent shows :')
Yah I saw! Really hoping to catch em live one of these days!
I dont think so :c
+Facundo Lucas They said they wanted to, but they probably wouldn't.

Uma lenda, essa banda é foda demais, uma das primordias, época de shows e bandas de garagem, começando em 2005 por aí... E eu aqui em 2021 ouvindo! 😍
THIS IS THE MOST PERFECT THING EVER, I WISH THERE WAS A HIGHER QUALITY VERSION BUT STILL THIS IS PERFECT.

Travis has such a nasty scream. I always loved him a lot. Each member has a personality and their own way they look too

10:25 Secrets Don't Make Friends
16:00 Ride the Wings
You can really hear the Tom Delonge influence in Matt Good's vocals as he has mentioned Blink as being a influence
Yeah I can hear it, he actually got to meet him sometime in 2008 at Warped Tour.
what a fucking set man, wish i could go back in time, true showsmen
Magical time, magical little niche of music. Miss these times.

Boa mano!!!

I just watched Dustin dollins skate video on Vice. The same store and same guy are in it. Spooky

So! Travis is the oldest? Didn’t know that
kinda weird how every time sonny talks about the band he excluded the bassist (don't know his actual name lol)
He said his first and last name... on the documentary.
Is skirllex also sonny?
Yeah skrillex is his DJ project and Sonny is his actual name
You're late to the party man
Skrillex killing it
Y he lick that guitar like that… yyyyuck! Otherwise tho awesome doc/concert

Why didn't Travis just do vocals all the time
better guitarist than singer, hands down.
bokunotraplord He did it in The Human Abstract as lead vocals when their vocalist left.
Sonny originally joined as the guitarist in 2004 with intent of Matt or Travis being the full time frontman...but Sonny was singing backup vocals in the studio and they were blown away, so they decided to have him be the full time frontman
